So many suspicions confirmed by this video. Much truth here. From the value of dry fire to the really expensive guns not shooting that much better than affordable options. Really liking this series, y'all.

The quantifiable performance difference may not be huge, but expensive guns (?) feel so much better. (A shadow 2 is not an expensive gun, and most of the 320 models used for competition weigh about the same as a shadow 2).

It is extremely motivating seeing Brantley run a Glock 17 like he does. That carry optics meta made it seem like a waste of time even trying to compete with a glock

there are benefits to running lighter guns that aren't expressed here. Lighter guns are generally easier to transition and gun handling is a little easier. Heavier guns are better at reducing felt recoil and have better stability on long, difficult shots. Close, nasty shooting usually favors a lighter gun. Major props to Brantley on 7th! insane!

I really like this show. Like all the TREX videos for the most part. I'm not a Democrat so opinions that differ from mine aren't a personal tragedy from which I won't recover from and therefore a existential crisis that needs to be stamped out before WE ALL DIE!!! Just some don't apply to me. Equipment I don't use or plan on using. That kind of thing. I've also purchased a few TREX items both in house designed/manufactured and things they sell of others. Always a good experience. Love the in depth videos devoted to those things on the website. But this show is cool and I look forward to seeing new episodes. Good job guys. Appreciate it.

I also shoot USPSA been doing it for 3 months and use a Glock 17 with a eps full size, I started with a 19x with Trijicon but my 17 has a performance trigger, I don’t think most people realize what a outlier brantly is that is amazing to get GM in 6 months

I love my safariland, but it sits out too far imo. Also the leg strap is noticeably a requirement for high stress. Training defeated the flaw, but I would appreciate its positioning being different. Excellent system though. I want something like it, but thin, and iwb. I already know my favorite guns won't be an option in your lineup, but I am excited to see what you guys put together. I would be glad to buy one off of you guys.

At minute 13:30 you start discussing your carry gun having malfunctions. Think about the people that shoot maybe once a month or even less. They could have a gun or habits that produce malfunctions and they will never know. One of the many reasons it’s important to run your carry gun.

The amount of mental gymnastics to justify Glocks in competition is laughable. You can compete with darn near ANY gun. How well you do will depend MOSTLY on your skill as a competitor. Lucas plainly admits that the other guns have an advantage. Completely true. Which is why the top guys compete with better guns. You can be ad good as Brantly if you put in the same amount of work as him and have the same amount of natural talent and athleticism. Or you can put in 95% of the work with a superior gun and be just as good 😉. At this level, it's mostly the competitor. But the gun does matter. It's just funny how desperately Lucas tries to show that the Glock is the best gun ever for everything....
@MosDev8182 күн бұрын
Brantley is the exception not the rule
@TREXARMS2 күн бұрын
It’s not mental gymnastics. There’s a reason Glocks are still picked for jobs that involve shooting people. And the same pistol can be used at a high level in competition. You won’t find guys issuing our shadow 2s or full metal Walther pistols for shooting people. The fact that the Glock can do both very well is telling.
@MosDev8182 күн бұрын
@TREXARMS you're missing the point. ANY gun can do both very well with a competent person behind it. P320s are issued to shoot people. So are 1911s. And those too can be formidable competition guns.
@chas3wba0Күн бұрын
100%. Glock ergonomics are pretty bad and it takes extra training to compensate for them. If a different gun allows you to shoot better with less practice, then it's a better design, period. The "instantaneous feedback" from a Glock is not necessarily a criticism of your skill as a shooter, but rather the need to change your natural, comfortable shooting technique to adjust to an inherently flawed design 😄
@blackoutss282 күн бұрын
Don't care what you say I hate and I own a 17 and 19 because they are the best option being in commiefornia. If you buy a gen 5 it's all the same crap and Glock is still behind the times. P80 is better you can buy all the parts you want and buy a slide that is already cut for an optic instead of having to send your slide to get cut. Plus the whole Glocks are super reliable it's a mixed bag my 17 had 20 malfunctions about 5 years ago but issue got fixed it's working fine but that's always in the back of my mind.

Just remember, standing up for our nation, culture, and race will almost certainly mean standing up against the standing army , from federal law enforcement all the way down to local police. (If you doubt they're a standing army of the kind we were warned against by the Founding Fathers, look at the advanced military equipment they get from the government. It's obviously not for use against Russia or China.) Enough of this sanctimonious "our valiant boys in blue!" nonsense.

Advanced military equipment is for the two other most “advanced” militaries in the world? Also it makes since technology isn’t designed for them since the last 20 years we’ve been in the ME and probably going back. Also do we all just represent one race? Do we get to pick the race or is it just what we are?

@@victorblack1092 Need a definition? Ok, any group of humans who have shared a common intergenerational environment in which they have reproduced with each other long enough to develop common features that distinguish them from people. e.g. Jews. To deny the concept is to deny the existence of these visible similarities and the equally visible differences between human populations, not to mention the differences among the particular environments in which they evolved. There is only ONE that is endangered. The very one denying it, while everyone else is using it to gain favors. Let that sink in. Your teachers, pastors, and yes, even TREX lied to you. @@victorblack1092 It is not so simple. The current situation lies primarily on the doorstep of those who own the mass media and fund political campaigns. To add insult to injury they have been making us pay for our displacement through taxes. They have camouflaged their intentions using innocuous PC terminology like “tolerance” in order to create the illusion that nothing is amiss. Is nothing amiss? Jonathan Foster might have something to say on this issue, and certain school districts are basically war zones already. I.e. There are 2 fronts to this war. But if everything is great in your neighborhood I guess it's all right and must be all bunk! Let me turn on some NFL and NBA identify with my sports heroes and Fuhgeddaboudit. We can start by enforcing border policy and if that does not work the victims of geneo-cide and fight however they want. But we do not have much time that is for sure.
