@@OnLogic yeah, I'm not really mad that industrial computers are expensive, though sometimes the upgrade prices are insane (nothing changes buta single component and yet the price goes up 2-5x the retail price of said component), that's pretty bad and in general prebuilt SFF/barebones are extremely expensive when you look at the specs, it feels like we're stuck in the loop: these are expensive because they are niche and they stay niche because they are expensive...

Why are commercial SFF pcs still not utilizing Ryzen? It’s TDP is lower, more efficient and cheaper to manufacture than it’s Intel counterparts.

Generally speaking because the demand for Ryzen hasn't been there. Adoption by customers in the industries we serve has been slower than it has been in the consumer PC side. Customers making solutions for specific applications have been more keen on using intel hardware that they often know and have experience with. Also something to note is that Intel has been strongly committed to long life cycle support for quite a while, and that long term support is very critical to our customer base who might put a system out in the field for 5-10 years.

@@OnLogic the demand is there for sure, but in general it seems noone is really building AMD machines for business unless it's TR or some low power industrial machine
