Good to see you William. When I was a kid, I worked for a carpenter who said "A craftsman is someone who makes his errors look intentional". You are a craftsman my friend !

Good to see you back I was thinking maybe you were sick or I wasn't getting your message on new video's. I like your Jr.woodsman-Hunter trapper one, just from looking at them and sure the Jr woodsman carver would be great also,once I handled it some. Haven't used my new Crooked Knife yet to comment,but was about to ask you if you made the handle also,but you answered that in this video. Nice carving on the handle ! I hope your folks are OK and doing fine ?

Very interesting thoughts. I'm a butcher by trade and have a lot of knives. However, 98 percent of what I do can and is done with just two. I can go from a whole fresh slaughtered cow to a 100 dollar a plate steak with two knives. Fowl, fish, lamb, pork, and all manner of wild game as well. Most of the people that work in the very high end restaurants I sometimes work in use one Chef knife for 98 percent of what they do while they have many others to cover the other two percent. All that being said my butcher knives are not my edc folders, and are still different from my home cooking knives, and my hunting/bushcraft knives. What I'm trying to say is that in skilled hands a 4 inch folder can do more than an entire backpack full of knives in novice hands. I guess that's why I'm such a fan of your encouragement for us all to get out and get some whittle time in.;)

Say Heah William, Your Brilliant, I think you did it . I would like mine more slender, But still a Woodsman design to team up down the line to match my Master Woodsman. Like I said, I don't do game. So I will want one to just do wood. This is awesome. Job we'll done.,,.

William, if only I could convince you to make the Mega Woodsman, maybe 8" or so blade, about two inches or so of belly/blade height, same or slightly longer handle......and BAM, instant home run! Big enough to chop and baton well, small enough for finer tasks. 3V steel. Perfection.
@brandonmitchell36177 жыл бұрын
Steven Szabo you can order one the way you want it
@Shooter11B7 жыл бұрын
Brandon, yup, I know, but I hate waiting! I have to convince William to create a couple as prototypes so I can swoop in and snag it on a sale. That saves about a year or two of very torturous waiting!

Yes sir William I do! It is quickly becoming one of my all time favorite knives my friend! Now, we just have to get you to make one more model, the "Mega Woodsman" and you will have created the ultimate three blade set for ALL imaginable tasks. Shall I put some drawings together for the Mega? ;-)
@wcknives7 жыл бұрын
Steven Szabo be happy to take a look at some designs. However, the #1 knife in the last sale and the Stranded Woodsman are very large woodsman grind blades already.

Say Heah William, Dat'a'Boy, That one looks similar to Paul'ies Delight. I like a Drop Point Lowered similar to the Iz Turley Gasconade for example. It takes a little to get use to a Drop Point that swoops down like that. But seriously, once working wood with one, WoW'wee, is it great. That's why I asked you to sort of make mime like that. Same with my Paul'ies Pride, It also has that sort of in common. Yeah, push cutting with your thumb is just one perc. The off set point actually drills more morally. It just helps making divots. Yeah, I think you just designed two Outstanding Knives.,,. p

Innovative as always I see, can I ask the difference in holding properties between mosaic pins, which I think just slip in, and what looks like loveless or Corby bolts on your other knives that have mechanical force to hold scales on, is one stronger or does the epoxy really do the work? Just curious.
@wcknives7 жыл бұрын
I only use pins with epoxy. The other bolts do not work on my handle designs. Not enough handle material left after shaping for bolts to hold securly.
