Many teens and tweens tend to think of thousands of career possibilities during this phase. these kpop industries debut these minor idols, but these minor idols will realize later on that maybe being an idol wasn't their dream. I've seen many kpop idols who debuted early, who said they lost their youth, this illusion that the kpop industry makes with minors is very dangerous, That's why many people, including me, think it's wrong when companies debut underage idols, because often these young people are not mature enough to know what they really want and these companies take advantage of that. I hope I cleared up a good part of your ignorance. :)

2002-2009 is not a big gap, it’s just that 13 is such so young but she will turns 14 this month. Here are groups with bigger gaps: Irene and Yeri (9 years gap Red Velvet) Sakura and Eunchae (8 years gap Lesserafim ) Taeil and Jisung (8 years gap NCT) CL and Minzy (10 years gap 2NE1) Victoria and Krystal (7 years gap F(x)) Hyungseo and Seonyu (7 years gap Class:y) There’s more and more but too many to lists.

you know what fans can do? not support them cuz agencies know that if they are a big agency, no matter who they debut, or what age, yes they know they will have hate but they also know fans will support. So instead of supporting them, discouraging them is the most efficient. Those kids mental maturity is not even that of a teenager yet

It's not like, there's already an official date for the debut. It only said 2023 but what month we don't know yet. Maybe in that time lapse, some will celebrate birthdays which means a year older for everyone. Is not like they remain forever at this age. If it's true that Chiquita's birthday is in February then she will turn 14. In 2024 15 and so on. I don't know how much are you familiarize with the groups debuted under YG, but 2NE1 debuted with Bom (25) at that time and Dara(25) of the same age, while their youngest Minzy was only 15. More than their age be the problem is how the people is reacting, making jokes, making fun of them, laughing at them, as if their talent and their hard work was it worthless.
