There can be no other better source by which one can wrap up his/her studies..............around 40-45 hours for end of period review for L-1.........excellent work Sir.

Hello Jim. Thank you for these awesome videos. When we calculate the holding period return. Do we not take the previous period value after fees to calculate the return between periods? Should we not have used the 113.6mil to calculate the return instead of the 120mil?

Hi, I have passed my SIE exam and am interested in pursuing a career in alternative investments management. Can I simply go ahead and study to pass the CFA exam or do I have to complete any other preliminary examinations or experience before I study to pass the CFA Alternative investment exam?

Hi Brett. It's excellent that you have passed your Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam, which is a prerequisite to becoming registered to work in the securities industry in the United States. As for your question about the CFA exams, you can go directly into studying for them. There are no prerequisite exams to take before the CFA exams, but there are specific enrollment requirements: Have a bachelor's degree (or be in your final year), or have four years of professional work experience, or have a combination of both (college/university and professional work experience) totaling at least four years. Note that part-time positions do not qualify, and the four-year total must be accrued prior to enrollment. Understand English, as the exams are given in English. Be prepared to take the exams in order. The CFA Program includes three exams: Level I, II, and III. Candidates must pass each exam before progressing to the next level. Agree to abide by the CFA Institute Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct. Apply for membership to the CFA Institute. Alternative investments is one of the topics covered in the CFA exams, along with other topics such as ethical and professional standards, quantitative methods, economics, financial reporting and analysis, corporate finance, equity investments, fixed income, derivatives, and portfolio management. Remember that the CFA certification requires a significant time commitment, with a recommended study time of at least 300 hours for each of the three levels of exams. Passing these exams can be a considerable achievement and is highly respected in the finance industry. Best of luck with your studies!
