mistake at 10:11 i.e the roots should be -0.5 and 0.3 because we want -0.2 on adding -0.5 and 0.3

The roots' values are fine. You are thinking of this form (z-0.5)(z+0.3), but when you equal those terms to zero, you get: z=0.5, z=-0.3... Those are the values of the roots that are shown in the video.
