Glad I can learn from a real professor, I'm currently working on world building (to be specific, slimes) and I found fungi, and other micro organisms to be a great blueprint for this new kingdom of living organism.

I used Medical Microbiology and Levinsons. But then I found "Clinical Microbiology made ridiculously simple" and that as a game changer for me

You’re lecture is great. What bk (with excellent microscopy photos) would you recommend for better identifying microscopic fungi, particularly am interested in soil molds, glomalin-producing fungi, and fungi that are commensal/symbiotic root hairs.

parasite is just a lifestyle. Fungi and other organisms can be parasites. They are not mutually exclusive.
