Thank you. Have been trying to figure this out. Certainly I will buy your book. A video with shopping list and suppliers and a step by step build would be wonderful, of a particular model especially. Well done.

Very fine work and details. I especially noticed your fine detail about the speed. It has always bothered me to see small miniature models start at high speed. I am looking forward to buy your book.

Very good information and you given me new motors to look at. I have been building a container crane in 00 for the last few years with a view to building a new one. I look forward to your book and future updates

Very good on the slow speed. I've been doing some work using R/C on O gauge trains and got some very good slow motion running. Looking forward to more tips.

Great stuff. Always wondered why the driver on "The End of the Line" didn't turn his head in the direction he was travelling though.

Thank you for the information, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. love your videos, one of the reasons being is that you explain the reasons that you use or prefer not to use the different parts .

Thanks a lot for the videos. I already started my own conversions of 1:43 scale models. Is the book that was mentioned here available and how can I but it?

Hi Merlin, thank you - it's a pleasure..... Yes it is - "Trains, Cranes and Automobiles - Radio Control for Model Railways " available from a number of sources including direct from Wild Swan. It will come up on Google.

But wouldn't a Faller Car System-like thing be better, since vihicles then can drive around semi-autonomously? BTW: Since you've converted the small truck, it looke like you could even convert passenger vehicles! :-)
@gilesengineer Жыл бұрын
I think this misses the whole point! The Faller vehicles only follow the built-in routes - they can't 'operate' in the same way the railway can..... RC vehicles do...... I have converted about twenty vehicles in 4mm and 7mm of various types from forklifts to cars - all for use on railways.
@Skoda130 Жыл бұрын
@@gilesengineer the Faller system can be just as flexible as the railroad, and it can handle multiple vehicles, while you can only handle one RC car at a time. But in the end it all boils down to preferences, I think. It was just a suggestion. I think you did a splendid job nevertheless. 😊
