Just randomly realized there's a better way to route the tubing for my cannula. Instead of running the tubing from my cannula to over the top of my ears, then down to my neck, like everyone does, I routed the tubing going from the canula to underneath my ears, then up behind and then over the top, with it finally coming down in front of my ears. This causes the cannula to stay against my upper lip and not be pulled up against my nostrils. The tubing still travels down to the supply line underneath my chin as designed, but this way it stays lower on my cheeks as it travels along underneath my earlobes I have a deviated septum, and my nostrils and nasal passages are very narrow. This makes it difficult to use my cannula for supplemental o2 and still get enough normal room air through my nose. I don't think I've ever seen anyone else wear their tubing like this, but I'm sure there are others with similar problems with their nasal passages, so I wanted to share. Now, on to the unit in the video. It claims to be able to provide up to 2 liters per minute continuous flow. If true, that is MUCH better than the Inogen One G5. The Inogen unit only does pulse doses and only up to 1.26 liters per minute max'. There's a massive difference between pulse dose and continuous flow. The 4 hour battery life on a pulse setting of 2 is pretty low, about half that of the Inogen G5. That's a shame. Maybe they will offer bigger or improved batteries soon. If you're a lung patient and require supplemental o2, that's really the biggest factor to consider. Even 2 liters will eventually not be enough, but it's a big help in getting you out of the house and back into the world outside. Walk slower. Be mindful of your environment. Pay attention to what your body is telling you along the way, and use common sense.
