I am an introvert. I mostly spend 95% of my time alone. I don't hate people, but the idea of gaining energy by being around people is so alien to me. It's interesting because I absolutely do not understand it.

I'm extremely independent, have no problem being alone and in my own world most the time. I'm also usually very quiet and not very social at gatherings. Mostly just watching and listening to everyone else. But if I'm around people and places I'm comfortable with, I can be talkative, outgoing and friendly. I like to think as of now I'm mostly introvert, but I really don't have much of a problem extroverting when I'm comfortable. So mostly depends on my comfort. Anyone else?

This is old psychology. No one is one or the other. Everyone is a combination of all these factors. Being shy and socially awkward doesn't make you're introverted, it means you're shy and socially awkward.

Extroverts: Be proud of your personalities. I know these videos and articles on the internet make it seem like it's way cooler to be an introvert, but at the end of the day, if you're a people person but still possesses a lot of creative abilities and skills "they" mentioned here as typical qualities of an introvert, don't get confused. I have tons of these "introvert" qualities but I will never say I'm an introvert simply because my personality tests says that I'm extroverted, (ENFP - T), and I know myself more than anyone else. I'm so happy about it and I'm going to embrace that. I have to do more studies about ambivert, though. How ironic it is when you see articles and videos claiming introverts are always being bullied by extroverts and yet you would see a lot of introverts refuse to accept the existence of the term "ambivert". At the end of the day, if you pretend to be someone you're not, it's gonna come out anyway and it's definitely going to show.

I guess I'm both, here's why: - I have a tiny group of close friends but I'm always starting convos with random people. - I'm single but that doesn't mean I don't talk to girls, I feel like I do that A LOT. - I rather be home and alone but I'm always the "go-to" guy when people want to party. - Speaking of convos, small talk is easier for me than full blown convos but I often find myself droning on. - Being in groups is fine with me, it's the awkward silence that gets to me; like it's somehow my fault that nobody is talking, I'm just there quiet and I feel like everyone is just waiting for me to say something. - I like silence, so that's why I crank the volume on the speaker so nobody gets encouraged to talk to me. I also hate wearing headphones because I feel so isolated, mainly because I like to hear what's going on around me. With speakers I know where the sound is coming from and I can isolate it easily from the other sounds. With that being said if someone does want to talk to me I can hear what they're saying even if the volume is too loud. I know it's weird but that's just the way I am, I guess. Anyway, those are just few examples, and i have more, but I feel like I'm droning on so I'm just going to end it there lol.

I’m a introvert, all my past partners were all extrovert/little introvert. I have only dated 3 times. The first two relationships both lasted 1year. When my last relationship me and my partner lasted 7 years. So manly there’s nothing wrong if you and your partner are ether an extrovert or an introvert. Just be yourself and get to know the person you are with. There’s no rush to be in a relationship if single. Use the time to enjoy your life by yourself, friends, and family, focus on a career you like, and make and save money for you to live in and have extra money for when your ready to get in a relationship.

The problem of being ambivert is... we become weird, change to the opposite side, and not becoming someone that the other person (extrovert/introvert) wants us to be. This should have been mentioned on that dating conflict... When an ambivert just went to his/her extrovert side, going to party, having fun, with his/partner that is an extrovert. And the next day, the extrovert still want to go to another party, but the ambivert just change to his/her introvert side. This make the introvert confuse with his/her partner, like having a mood swing or something. This can be vice versa to introvert as well. But for me, I don't even go to a party, and even have a partner... I'm alone XD.

I’m an introvert but my mom tries to get me to spend time with her because she is definitely an extrovert and I don’t even think she knew what an introvert was until my doctor told her that I might spend time alone just because I am an introvert and she is also kind of taking me not wanting to spend time with her personally or something because I don’t like to socialize with her much and stuff and she said that if the doctors knew that I spend a lot of(basically 90% or more)my time in the day alone and by myself that they will think that there is something wrong with me but I now think that she says that because she feels that there is something wrong with me since she doesn’t understand at all why I like to be alone and I want to try and get her to understand by showing her that me being the way that I am is common and stuff, and also the thing with me not being able to express my feelings is common too, and my little brother seems to be more of an extrovert since he spends more time with her than I do and because of that I am like the odd one out and that it is a problem and it makes me a bit sad that she hasn’t accepted me as an introvert because she tries to get me to talk with her and stuff and I just can’t hold a conversation for more than a couple of minutes and I feel awkward and I hope I can tell her because I didn’t 100% know that I am not the only person in the world like this and hearing that 50% of people in the world are introverts makes me feel more confident and less like I’m alone in this stuff
