Imagine : The humans won over the alternates, there was many victims, many people who killed themselves, many people who where traumatised, some loosed people they cared about But, we won, the threat is gone, there isn't many survivors, but there is still survivors, it's over, no more panic. People are trying to live a normal life but...they can't. People try their best to put all of those horrible things in the past but it's impossible nothing will be the same anymore. People still talk about what happened with the alternates because of the huge impact it had, even in school teachers talk about the alternate invasion and how, even if lots of people died, and that it has caused a permanent trauma on everyone we still won. Everyone is still trying to figure out how to leave their lives after what happened. Some make songs about the tragic events Some make art Movies Theatrical plays Stories To try to find a way to heal through fiction and art and so that nobody forgets what happened. But did we really won ? Is it truly over ? Will it never happen again ? Or are the alternates accepting defeat for now and waiting for the perfect moment to strike back and ruin the peace the survivors tried so hard to build ? We'll never know. So. Enjoy the victory citizens of mandela county. Or prepare yourself if something happen again. Can’t believe I’m only listening to this just now. This sounds so good. It’s crazy how a switch of tone could help tell a different story. To me, this seems like a personification of someone’s trauma and how much it can bring fear to people. That trauma pushes us away from experiencing things in life because it makes us worry more about the *risk* in feeling that trauma again. And throughout the song, it makes it feel like trauma is always gonna be a voice in your head that you can’t stop, and you can’t do anything about it because the damage is already done. Just wanted to share how I viewed this version of the song, since I relate to that feeling. But ya I really love the spin you put on the song!! Super nice job
