Definitely my problem. I’m midlife going to school for Art and wishing I had gotten interested in it earlier as I’m also comparing my paintings to others in class-with no 24 year break in schooling. I am however liking 3D and sculpture but always liked clay. Just did a non representative plaster sculpture that I think is good. Now to conquer the blank sheet fear paralysis.
@anitawinterz
@anitawinterz 3 ай бұрын
It's fantastic to hear about your journey into art! It's never too late to start, and each piece you create is a step forward in your artistic path. Comparing your work to others is natural, but remember, everyone's art journey is unique and breaks can often bring fresh perspectives. It's great that you're exploring and enjoying 3D art and sculpture! mediums like clay and plaster can be wonderfully expressive. As for the fear of the blank page, consider it a canvas of possibilities. Maybe start with light sketches or background washes to ease into it. Keep pushing your boundaries! you're doing wonderfully!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that my video has helped to alleviate any fear you may have had about starting on a fresh, clean page. I'm glad that you found my video mesmerizing to watch and that you enjoyed the music. I try to choose music that complements the mood and tone of the video, so I'm happy to hear that it had a positive effect on you. Thank you again for your feedback and support. You have a keen eye! 😊✨ Gustav Klimt's work is indeed an inspiration, especially his intricate patterns and use of gold. I'm honored that you see a connection. And you're right, the world of patterns is endless, so there's always something new to explore and create. Thank you for your kind observation and encouragement! 🎨🌟🙌

Greetings Anita. Thank you so much for sharing your work, and also your thoughts about approaching intuitive art. I'm just getting back into creating art after a long hiatus so your words are most helpful and encouraging. Also, the tip for removing a masking tape border is really useful. I've never tried using masking tape to make a border and it's something I'd like to try, however there's always that fear of accidentally ripping the piece! I will definitely try the hair dryer! Thanks so much again and take care 👋😊

It’s fabulous! I love it! Don’t title it. Let every viewer imagine. I generally don’t prefer a long video (over 20 minutes) but would gladly watch your videos at normal speed. I guess there’s a way to slow down a video, but apparently not when casting to a smart tv. I’ve tried. Please keep posting videos. I’m very inspired by your work. This is something I want to do. BTW those POSCA markers perform beautifully. Rich, saturated ink. Fabulous!

Thank you so much!! I appreciate your suggestion to not title my artwork. It's true that leaving the artwork untitled can allow each viewer to interpret it in their own way. I'm also glad to hear that you would watch my videos at normal speed, even if they're longer than 20 minutes. I think original speed would probably be 20 hrs!))) I understand that it can be challenging to slow down videos when casting to a smart TV, so I'll keep that in mind when editing future videos.And yes, I absolutely love using POSCA markers in my work! They truly are fantastic and provide rich, saturated ink. I'm glad to hear that you've had a positive experience with them as well. Thank you for your support and encouragement, and I look forward to sharing more videos with you in the future. Happy creating!

@@anitawinterz Ha! 20 hours are out of the question. Maybe a combination of fast and slow? I have an aqua Posca that I adore. I make junk journals. I want to add my own art. Lots of different types. I get very inspired by YT videos. I wish my brother and father had lived long enough to use the internet. They would’ve been as amazed as I am. Keep the art coming! 🖍️

That was absolutely mesmerizing. And enlightening. And inspiring. And everything I didn't know I needed today. Now I'm gonna go watch another one and as soon as I'm able I'll be doing this. I don't have any inks but could I effectively do what you did with the wet paper and my acrylic paints? Either way, thank you so much for sharing this!

Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you found my demonstration mesmerizing, enlightening, and inspiring. I'm glad that I could provide you with a positive experience and bring some joy to your day! Regarding your question, yes, you could definitely try using acrylic paints with wet paper to create a similar effect. However, the texture and the way the paint interacts with the wet paper may differ from watercolor paints, so it's worth experimenting with to see what works best for you. If you have no inks or watercolours to use to create a background for your doodle I’d suggest have no background at all! You would do perfectly well creating your doodles and colouring it in on a white page. Thank you again for your feedback and for taking the time to watch my video! I'm always happy to share my love of art with you!

I have just had this video show up out of the blue, and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve liked & subscribed. My fear isn’t of blank white paper - it’s when I’ve laid a background of lovely colours (often watercolour) - I’m scared to start putting marks on it for fear of obscuring what I have, or worse, spoiling it. 🤷‍♀️
@anitawinterz
@anitawinterz Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much, I’m glad you like my video nothing more I would want but to know that it made someone happy ❤️ and I can completely relate that fear when you laid your watercolours and afraid to spoil it! I approach it same way as the plank page. Just start making marks and the confidence will come!
