Deshabhimani is a Malayalam newspaper and the organ of the State Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). Started as a weekly in Calicut on 6 September 1942 and converted to a daily in 1946. The paper now has ten different printing centres: Calicut, Cochin, Trivandrum, Kannur, Kottayam, Trichur, Malappuram, Palakkad, Alappuzha and Kollam.

The Marxist thinkers and historians especially the "political" ones, have failed in understanding Indian ethos. Their clinical analysis is not in sync with the mainstream thinking of Indians. When you highlight Duryodhana or anti-heroes as central characters, you become isolated....while this narrative may be different and can be constructed on a logical basis, you should ask yourself why is it that no Indian parent has yet named their children as Duryodhana or Dussasana. The same holds good for the Aryan invasion theory which is a myth. One good thing is that the more you argue from these perspectives the more you will move away from mainstream thinking..... please realise that the last platform for this discourse is Kerala...your earlier audience in Bengal for this sort of narrative is making parotta in Perumbavoor!!!
