That's fine - if you don't have an enemy jungle starting on the red buff, you can still clear out the respawn timers and get a deep ward out. You always have the opportunity to gank mid or bot. You don't need to get a kill for this invade to be worthwhile, you're simply making use of the time here to get some deep vision or pressure.

@@Osybear It most definitely does lol, there's not a single low elo game where you can't double the enemy jg cs by 20 minutes if you just perma farm, and you become the most powerful champ in the game.

You will win most 1v1, in fact the only ones you lose are when they survive by gap closing away. That gives them the chance to kill your ghouls and you have to restart from step 1 to get ghouls again.

It insta stacks both shojin damage and and the liandry damage amp and it helps chip down high hp tanks

All it takes is one ghoul (or maiden) getting one hit on a target, and Liandry starts to burn for the max-hp damage. Makes landing Es hurt way more, especially against high-HP champs, and of course the burn happens even if you have no ghouls/Maiden if you land E or Q, which helps with lategame standoff/pokefests where Yorick can otherwise be really weak.

The other commenters did a good job - but essentially yes, you transfer a lot of your damage to be magic which makes you hard to itemise against. But if you play a maiden split playstyle like it do, the maiden or a single ghoul can apply the liandry’s at 100% effectiveness. It takes a long time to kill maiden, so she can do quite a lot of damage off the burn alone. Given that it applies off all your pets, its gives you a nice way of playing poke/distance to manipulate the game state in your favour. I don’t think it’s better than a penetration item or lethality item in terms of damage, but it will almost equal any other bruiser item ie deaths dance / maw.
