Fantastico, il livello di precisione è quasi assurdo, complimenti, è di sicuro il più preciso sistema anti back-lasch che abbia mai visto, non solo ti permette di eliminare anche quello passivo(di ritorno). mi diverto a seguire i tuoi lavori, dopo 70 anni continuo a imparare

I've seen various ways to make replacement anti-backlash nuts, all work, however I adore your design of the adjustment system as none of the others were easily adjustable for compensating for wear or reducing the backlash amount - thank you for sharing your knowledge

Ingenious design. As the nut wears out you adjust one of them to create a preload between the two nuts and clamp it back in the nut support. I like it. It will work if you don't have wear in the lead screw though

Thank you very much Car, yes, I can wear out the snail a lot and I can always delete the game. For me, who uses the vice a lot, I work with the entire length of the mother screw and consequently it wears out evenly.

Piaciuto molto! Dovrò affrontare anch' io questo problema, uso il mio tornio (hobbisticamente) da circa 40 anni quindi il movimento y sarà notevolmente maggiore. Questo tuo video mi ha stimolato a risolvere questo antipatico problema, grazie Maurizio.

Grazie Roberto, ma dipende sempre da cosa si fa col tornio, se viene usato per la sola tornitura si potrebbe anche evitare, basta metterlo in appoggio, ma come lo uso io con il trapano a fresare e forare sulle facciate, se si sposta anche di poco cambia comunque la centratura

Grazie mille Massimo, il dado a ricircolo ha misure esagerate per internarlo nella gola, vorrebbe fresato al massimo e poi si indebolirebbe il tutto, poi non penso che sia la soluzione migliore per una slitta da tornio, un pò di legnosità a mio parere ci sta bene in un tornio hobbistico

Very nice,we have a lathe at my work that the cross slide only works in one direction. OUT,makes for an adventure trying to make semi accurate cuts,bumping into the work a couple thousandth’s at a time.

Bardzo interesująca praca. Spotkałem się już ze sposobami kasowania luzów dwiema nakrętkami, ale kasowanie było "na stałe", bez możliwości regulacji, tak jak Ty to zrobiłeś. Sprawiało, to pewne problemy. Śruba pociągowa wyrabia się w miejscu częstej pracy i jeżeli skasowałeś luz, tam gdzie często pracujesz, to miałeś opór przy większych posuwach. Twoja praca daje wielkie możliwości, żeby tego uniknąć. Zrobiłeś takie... "Ferrari" do kasowania luzów 😉. Bardzo satysfakcjonujące video. Pozdrawiam.

Dziękuję bardzo Bluesbrat, tak, jest to faktycznie skuteczny i wygodny system, w sumie nawet nie trudny do wdrożenia, ale jak w przypadku wszystkich pomysłów, ktoś inny przyjdzie z jeszcze lepszym pomysłem.

I used an online English to Italian translator to write my comment. I hope it makes sense. Ho ottenuto risultati simili semplicemente acquistando un pezzo di ricambio, tagliandolo a metà e poiinserendo una molla tra le due metà. Ho dovuto forare e poi infilare una delle metà. Con l'altra metà del mio dado ho anche praticato dei fori corrispondenti in cui ho installato le viti per tenere insieme le due metà con abbastanza spazio tra le due metà affinché la molla fungesse da separatore. La tensione fornita dalla mia molla era sufficiente a mantenere innestate le filettature della madrevite.

ciao maurizio , sono nuovo, e' la prima volta che mi presento cui' da te. sei ad un livello straordinario, guardo sempre se trovo un nuovo filmato, non mi stanchi mai. volevo chiederti dove hai trovato il maschio della chiocciola , io, quel tipo di filetto non l'ho mai fatto(ho 82 anni) per il foro nel bronzo di che diametro e'? grazie sei bravissimo, alla mia eta' devo ancora imparare molto. ciao.

Grazie mille Paolo, gentilissimo, quel tipo di filettatura è piuttosto dura e tende a spostarsi sul lato opposto all'iniziazione filetto, per cui è molto importante creare un foro nel bronzo preciso come l'apice del maschio, così si autocentra autonomamente. Paolo..... a 82 anni devi farlo!! Mi sembri molto ben preparato ed attrezzato, in caso di bisogno posso scriverti?. (il mio tornio purtroppo è trifase, per cui devo prima trovare una soluzione per avviarlo .... Ho provato con vari inverter, ha funzionato solo per un po' Farò un ultima prova, dopo di che cambierò il motore)

Grazie mille Emarginato, certo che il motivo c'è ... la madre vite è sinistra col passo 4mm, se avessi fatto un filetto destroso ci sarebbe venuta troppa differenza sul giro di accoppiamento causando una regolazione difficile, sarebbe risultata una differenza sul giro di 5,5 mm x giro, troppo.

Anti backlash nuts are a good idea. They work well as long as the wear on the screw is evenly distributed but don't expect miracle's if the screw is also badly worn.

Thank you very much mr Myorky , yes of course it is as you say, but since I also use the lathe for small millings, I use the entire lead screw and the consumption is quite uniform. Of course a ball nut would be better, but my slide doesn't have enough space to accommodate it.
