I play a Magic the Gathering Online Modern league with Extra Turn Fires of Invention Combo, a deck from Patreon subscriber Chris. This 4-color deck uses green ramp like Farseek and Growth Spiral to get Fires of Invention into play early, then casts free spells to take enough extra turns for its powerful planeswalkers to win the game! Narset, Teferi, and two different Chandras can make a single Time Warp or Savor the Moment snowball into enough turns to win on the spot with a Chandra activation. We're inventing time today! MTG

Ichormoon Gauntlet seems like the exact thing you'd move off creature lands for and just focus on good planeswalkers. The proliferate acts as a mini extra turn because of how you can turbo up to the walker ults.

At 44:53 why didn't you cast subtlety on Ulamog after the trigger resolved exiling your fires? You just bounced it with Teferi the next turn anyway. You could've attacked for 3 for a turn.

On small changes, It felt like there were no games other than the burn matchup we didn't get both our surveil lands and they are incredible once you got fires going. We might considre a third.

love the content. I have been running a snow Alrund's epiphany in Arena Mythic when I was actively playing/grinding. If you play one and chain turns in whatever way, you generally win because of the two or more birds. Since you always get a bunch of lands quickly, and you have planeswalkers that serve as fodder for counterspells, removal and life, you can survive and connect the Epiphany into the other extra turn spells. I use Tamiyo, Collector of Tales for the deeper search per turn and potential regrow for anything in your graveyard and the discard protection is a big plus.

Video idea. When modern rotates a brief overview of all (top 5 or 10) of the meta decks after the first week or so. Brief overview of what they're doing, bit of strategy, and (most important for me) what you think sideboards are doing/for. Bonus if you rank the decks best to worst match ups as you see it. Would for sure watch and for sure rewatch certain parts as I learn to play the decks I like. I can intuit a good amount but haven't played constructed in ages. Played a little modern domain, izzet, and the quintorious copy deck. Sideboarding was the toughest. Cheers

one issue with one ring is that when you have protection from everything you cant target yourself with extra turns. nexus of fate is gas too

Mr Bosh, I’ve been putting a ton of work into a fires turns deck that does indeed include the one ring, and I think the list is very very well tuned. I’ll send it to you in the server! I’ve been considering sending it to you to play on the channel, so I’ll wait a little while to avoid having too many turns videos close together lol

Feel like companioning kaheera is pretty free and it's likely to get cast pretty often since you can buy it with mana you otherwise aren't using because of fires. It's not busted or anything but it attacks and blocks

I was just testing this deck with a friend. Cool as hell, but I had a lot of issue closing out games. It felt like I'd go off, do some bullshit, then die anyway. Maybe I'm not a good enough pilot yet.

I had a taking turns deck circa 2017 that used Jace Beleren and dictate of kruphix to keep the cards flowing. I was thinking you needed something like that. Seems like in today's modern the one ring is the obvious choice but it is boring like you say :( I just wanna mill people out with bad Jace again
