Hey The real reason why Mo Jang decided to update the game with the one block at a time was because they wanted to release a April Fools' update. You might have heard of upper minecraft though versions with april fool's jokes such as a wither that doesn't harm you They were only meant to be able fool's jokes.

I loved messing around with the Super Secret Settings when I was younger, just cycling through the various crazy effects. Also, I loved messing around with customized worlds, making size 20 diamond ore veins spawn practically anywhere there was stone, and was sad when Mojang replaced them with single-biome worlds in 1.13.
