There are far too many of these cases, but one which immediately springs to mind is the case of Scott Watson which has way too many disturbing aspects in terms of evidence and the witness accounts to have been a sound judgement/finding. As Shakepeare's Launcelot Gobbo said, eventually "the truth will out" and I have little doubt such will find our Police force and legal system greatly wanting. It's a disgrace, pure and simple.

Why are police getting it wrong so much? Is it because they are a govt dept?

Probably a combination of public pressure to find the guilty party and the officers in charge looking for a quick conviction to enhance their career prospects.

The standard intelligence of police officer is not very high, many of the ones in small towns because they played a good std of rugby at local school become police officers ..thatcsays it all.. there is a book I read years ago on 20 +mysterious deaths in small towns over last 20 to 30 years which were not properly investigated !😢

@@julianwalls1077interesting. Can you remember what the book is called.? My daughter is a police officer. I would consider her fairly intelligent. I think it's the culture of the police force itself and they don't 'rat' on their own easily, or admit when they're wrong.

The police cooking up these stories need to be tracked down and prosecuted. This is serious misconduct.

Our police come across a bit like the Chinese police. They always get their man. Any man will do.

Rember justice used to be blind. It's now actively looking for the colour of your skin and giving discounts at sentencing

Things were different back then. Mindsets and attitudes. Time moves on and so does technology.
