I started putting money into brand new sealed collectables, there's essentially no risk of losing money, sure some don't increase in price over time but they never go down. It isn't very liquid but I have stocks and savings i can pull money out of if I really need too. Collectables are also more resilient to the economic swings, during recessions they barley go down at all because unlike shares most people have them to hang onto or for a hobby not to make money so a lot less people will panic sell
