In this video I demonstrate the full functionality of KALYKE by IO Instruments. KALYKE is a digital module that can be a dual envelope, an ADSR envelope and an LFO or a dual LFO, it really depends on how you set it up. There's a lot of versatility to explore with this 16HP piece of gear. I've recorded a bunch of patch and sound examples, and of course a long segment where I go over every knob, button, input and output.
IO Instruments aim at lower budgets without sacrificing quality. I think you'll see that KALYKE is indeed feature packed and it has a few tricks up its sleeve that I haven't seen on any other envelope or LFO module.

Yeah - one of the best how-to I´v ever seen!. Please demonstrate all of the fine IO-Instrument modules, because of the lack of usefull manuals from IO ;-)

Hey Lumanoid, thanks for the nice comment! For an envelope/LFO module KALYKE is surprisingly dense, but it doesn't take a lot of time to figure out what everything does.

This is superb - I bought one because of your demo. Although DivKid et al are brilliant, sometimes it is a little tricky to fathom if the amazing sounds are coming from the featured module or other modules out of shot. Not so here. This one of the best tutorials I have seen, and I keep coming back to it. Many thanks.

Not spectacular but very cool, just got one, love if for simple acid filter mods but going way further than what you can do with a SH101. Too bad you can't modulate "A" when that "ratchet" button is pushed that would really make sense and not absolutely happy about the LFO shapes, also the way they morph is not really useful, without looking at the scope i would have wondered whats going on on the square side, those narrow pulses don't make sense here imo.

Hey snorre... I agree it would make sense to be able to modulate the A parameter when in ratchet mode. The morphing of the LFO can be a little bit confusing, but once you get to know the module better you can almost set these blindly to the right positions. The manual is a bit cryptic about this feature but a scope is indeed very helpful to figure it out. It's a bit of a mixed bag, but still there's a lot of cool features on the unit, and the build quality seems to be very good as well. I hope you have a lot of fun with the unit!
