was just able to get my gen3 listed on ebay and grab a gen4 scorpion, can't wait, thanks for the vid ill probably set it up similarly!

My biggest displeasure with the Gen IV is the front buckle system. It's not too bad overall

Cause no one in the real army gets that good shit! 🤣😡 seriously. Ive seen many active duty grunts running Gen 1 and 2 IOTVs. Its some bs.

Could you give me a quick run down of all 4 gens of the iotv, like what are the differences between them all?

@@BBWarrior13 Do you have a link or something where I can find out? What is the major difference between the 4 gens? I know that the eariler ones lack the d rings on the shoulders for the TAP, I know that earlier ones had velcro instead of the buckle under the main flap, and I know the camo change from UCP to OCP, but trying to figure out what one is from the other gen wise is pretty difficult to someone not in the know.

The major difference would also be for the IOTV GEN 4 takes MBAV soft armor, before they older IOTV soft armor would wrap around your body. Also the cummerbund in the gen 4 has a soft armor insert in it

@@BBWarrior13 Great video. I was looking for the same thing as Zezda1981, that is a direct comparison between iotv generations. Same goes for spcs. Got a iotv here, not sure about the generation.

Don't mean disrespect for hobbyists for wanting IOTV but that thing bulky to wear on a day to day. Good for the price but bad for your back.

I think the major difference is the soft armor insert on the gen 4 it’s an MBAV soft armor
