I understand taking a nap. I said that to my daughter. This old man needs to take a nap. After all this walking there's a lot of walking in that place I want to see.. And the colonies are so many spread out. It takes a little time to get. And you take your time to enjoy them so yeah I stayed three days. And I felt like I rushed it I will have to go back. And I want to go back it's very relaxing. You wait till you get to the oldest grocery store. At the other end of the colony. That young lady and they're running that store, she's been there, her entire life. She grew up there as a child. She's a lovely person to talk to.

I would get lost in that Christmas store there were so many things I would love to have. And your meal looked delizioso as well as those pastries. I like going to Panera bread & getting the bear claw which has almond filling. My favorite. I'm a little behind on your videos. Trying to play catch up this morning while my kiddos are still sleeping. btw: I grew up eating mentos. I never knew they had cinnamon. Yum! :)

It is beautiful there isn't it I really enjoyed it. And as you were trying to figure out a place to have lunch. I was going to suggest staying in one of the establishments at The amana colony. It is so peaceful if you say. All of the shops people that you meet that live there are very pleasant people.

There's a little Dutch town here in Georgia called Helen. It's amazing. I think you guys would love it. Amana Colonies look amazing. When I was a kid we lived in Pennsylvania for awhile and visited Amish country often. Amana reminds me of that. Also I relate with Joe. I can't handle strong smells for long either.

Your roses are beautiful! I always enjoy seeing your many flowers. 💐 Your meals looked delicious! You did a great job on the video. The two person swing was near to see. I remmeber those as a child, seems sone aunts n uncles had them. When you mentioned the gem place, it reminded me that I live i. The “gem capital of the world” franklin, NC. Maybe you can come visit one day, it’s in the smokies. Lots to do and see with the great smoky mountain national park and cherokee, NC. The stores were amazing! I have lots of German glass ornaments, I really like them. The little clip on birds with feather tails, other birds, even bananas and the cucumber which is a traditional thing with a story behind it. Now thst I’m a widow and alone with kids far away, ive not been swig up a tree every year. I should at least get those out and maybe put on a branch of every green or wreath or something. I guess they jogged my memory. I also love cinnamon everything. We have lots of apple orchards here, so I am happy when it’s Harvest time to make cinnamon apple everything. It’s very beautiful there. I love seeing the landscape and homes. What a beautiful place to visit! Thanks for sharing it with us.

Getting closer to us here in the Quad Cities. 👍🏼 Do you have the app “roadside” which tells you about and the location of area attractions? We use it on road trips. My wife goes to the colonies with girlfriends. You and Joe may enjoy Galena IL if you like this sort of thing. It’s historic and the shopping is enjoyable. The popcorn place in Galena literally piped their exhaust hood out onto the street so you can smell it from down the street. 😂

My favorite breakfast is a plain butter biscuit with strawberry jelly...it HAS to be strawberry. I love grape jelly but its something about strawberry on a biscuit!! Mmmm😋

I really had to take a good look at what a 'Dutch letter' is. I didn't recognize it at first. 😊 It's called a 'banketletter' in Dutch. We mainly eat this during the December holidays and it looks crunchier on the outside.

I worked in the health care field for many years and wondered if food is a big trigger for autistic children and adults? It was a major trigger with some different populations i have taken care of. I guess it has a lot to do with how,where, and who raised them. Craig is so fortunate to have not been given to the system because you didn't want to deal with his Autism. I've seen some horrible situations. ❤ Love your videos. Hope I'm not offending you by my words or the way im trying to explain things.

That's my "neck of the woods". Theres a big lily pond nearby that is spectacular when in bloom. There used to be a toy store...Dont know if its there anymore. Craig would like it. I went to school in Pella and was one of the dancers during Tulip Time.
