I got this iPad yesterday and it’s soooo much better than my other ipads and iPhone. I’m loving the screen size for me using my textbooks and Netflix of course, lol. I have my Macbook Air for more intense tasks but I love the ipad as a secondary device. For digital note taking and video conferencing it can’t be beat. I really just use my Mac for typing papers otherwise I am mainly on the ipad. Can’t wait to use it for school and work since I work at a university. I personally don’t have an issue with the design but there are some shortcomings with the accessories. I do think it’s time for a better type cover and apple pencil 2 support. I can see why the type cover wouldn’t be offered as it basically costs what the ipad does but maybe a folio cover. If the design of the ipad needs to change fine but it really isn’t a must for me.

I got the iPad Pro. The refresh rate is so nice but the budget model is more than enough for the average person

This iPad is great value for money

Limitations: 1. Not compatible with new magic keyboard 2. No apple folio case for backside protection 3. No wifi 6 4. Old version Bluetooth 4.2 5. Apple Pencil 2 not compatible

I have to say that after using my IPad 9 for two years now and also testing Ipad air/ pro I realised, that its way more comfortable to write with the pencile on Air and Pro. The Ipad 9 is just not as sturdy as the other two and the screen is also not as good as the one of the Air and Pro (in many categories). When I write on my 9gen, even with light pressure you can feel and see the glass denting inwards. It just feels better and safer to write on Ipad Air and Pro. However I can see that the price is a big factor, that is deffinetly a huge plus for the Ipad 9. However if one wants to buy an Ipad for the main purpose of taking notes, I would invest 150$ more and buy a refurbished Ipad air 4 or an Ipad Pro 2018 (Ipad pro 2018 > Ipad Air 4).

for people that wanted the new style of ipad gen 10 (which used to be iphone 5s 🤣🤣) you just need to wait for the gen 11 come out (if they exist or announced) it will have 50% chance of having an ipad gen 10 to have the price like gen 9 (but i dont really think it possible tho but i still have 25% faith in it)

Only issue that I had with the iPad 9 is that it automatically turned off when I charged it to 100%. It shuts down on its own. I don't know why it does this.

iPads are great but I disagree with the advice to get an iPad as your only device for school. There are too many situations that might come up where you need a full computer.

Get a Logitech case with a keyboard instead of Apple’s case. You shouldn’t have to pay that much money for a case without a back protector.

unlaminated display, apple pencil 1 and big bezels are a dealbreaker for me. my 230€ android tablet has a fully laminated display not to mention thin bezels and a pen that doesnt charge weirdly and has shortcut buttons.

64 gb is great, I think I had the 7th gen with 32 gb and I literally cant update anymore because of storage, I have 4.0 gb free instead of 5.1 lmao. So much free space yet cant update. It tricked me into buying icloud for more storage and yet my 3gb of photos are still not uploading to icloud despite having that option on. Okay I ranted there, but this is a great device I think even at the base model. I recommend for everyone, especially students. I’m hoping the 2023 redesign is gonna be a strict upgrade to the 10.5 pro. I want the 10.5 screen (or more), laminated display, and maybe 120hz but I seriously doubt that one. I kinda hope they don’t just make it the same as the new ipad pro/air/mini design. Instead of doing that, they can literally just reduce the price of the ipad air. I think the base model should stay true to this original design, but I’m sure others would disagree
