not really, not only is it fully updated, but they’re very common (and cheap at that), plus it was iCloud locked meaning it’s basically useless to anyone but the original owner

I'm surprised it never broke for the first 2 with the glass, because I drop mine once, and it shatters WITH THE CASE. And this tablet gets dropped twice vs mine getting dropped twice, no cracks for the iPad, like a crack across my screen for mine...

It’s not the best idea to smash an iPad on the floor specially with the battery inside because it can leak battery acid or just catch on fire so the burning smell was probably damage to the battery. But if you want to smash an iPad with a battery inside go for it just be careful

I am aware of the risks, but I have bent iPads in half before with a fully charged battery, so they are quite durable. I know a battery could blow at any time so I do try to keep any device with a larger battery at a low state of charge before breaking them badly. And for dropping them, think of every time you’ve seen someone drop their phone… how many just blew up on impact? Lol

I have an iPad just like that but I have two of them but both of them are running iOS 9.3.5 and has no pass code I forgot that both of mine ipad minis had cracked screens but still works
