My wife's iPad wouldn't charge, took it to Apple Store. The tech looked at it for about 15 seconds in right front of us and said we need to buy a new one. Completely useless.

It's super hard for my iPad to charge, takes like 50 attempts.

IT WORKED!!!! My iPad (brand new and owned only a few months) wouldn’t charge so my husband and I bought a new charger set. It still didn’t charge. I did the hard reset just like the video said and viola! My iPad is charging now and I have extra cords. 😊

My iPad will say not charging, sometimes it will charge, and sometimes a message will pop up saying “This Accessory May Not Be Supported” . This is me using my actual charger that came with my iPad. I used my cousins and it charges fine. Does this mean it’s my charger? Because it’s not torn on the cable and it’s clean. I even took apart a piece of the brick of the charger and it’s clean.

when my ipad gets to 60-70% it just stop charging and says “not charging”

This is weird but when my iPad says not charging and I leave it for ten minutes it’s at like 10% battery

The problem is that my charger worked just fine before updating to iOS 12. Another charger works, but this charger stopped working. No damage, no hardware issues. iOS 12 sucks, basically.

Well there you go. I must have had some fluff stuck in the lightning cable port, gave if a clean and it’s charging again. I was beginning to worry when all the previous steps didn’t work. Thank you 🙏

My iPad Pro 10.5 started with the "charging -- yeah, not really" bug last night. Doing the hard reset holding home and power buttons for 20-30 seconds as shown in the video fixed it -- nice! I couldn't even find the correct procedure on Apple's support site, but this KZfaq video got me up and running again!

Thank you very very very much Guys! The hard reset worked but I had to add a twist to it... So I did the reset and nothing BAH junebug. So I did it again after waiting for at least 5 minutes, I think that the waiting part is very important as it never worked the first couple tries but after watching, and now waiting on the 3rd attempt it worked! I believe the recent update has something to do with it. Anyhoo my young son is a happy boy now, thanks guys!

After pressing 4/5 times home & power button together it finally worked and turned my iPad on. I was thinking about getting a new one as it’s so difficult to get repaired iPads or apple products you guys just saved me some of Euros .. thanks and bug shoutout for your channel.

Thank you guys for all your hints. I’m a 70 year old retired doctor. My first Apple was the ‘83-‘84 version which is still pristine in its Mac bag with all the cables and drives that came with it. Next year I began upgrading my Mac every 1-2 years and I’ve held on the them as well. Used to be one of the few around who would take them into my office to use them. That’s the backstory. Still have all of these classic old Apple laptops as they were, but I’ll be ripped if I can stay up with the new stuff. You guys make entertaining and fun. Thanks again.

Awesome advice! Just left the dapple Headquarters to buy a charging cord. They tried 4 different cords and told me that iPad Pro was not working, would cost $600 to replace the charging board. I said no thank you, came home dejected but decided to look up if anyone else has this problem. Came across your video, I did roll my eyes on the toothbrush trick but decided to try it! I can't get my iPad Pro(purchased in March, 2019) to charge. I've tried different power outlets, my charging cord is like brand new right out of the box. The cable isn't damaged, bent, or even a bit dirty. The newer iPads have a C port for charging, etc. I've blown into all the openings on each end of the cord and AC adaptor and also used a soft toothbrush to clean it out. All openings look empty with no damage that I can see. I'm not able to plug a C into my laptop, and I only have the one charging cord that came with the iPad. Unfortunately, both ends of these new cords have a C connection which then plugs into the AC adaptor brick that then plugs into the wall. I don't have a dongle that converts a C to USB to try on my laptop or with another brick. My software is updated to version 13.4.1. I tried a hard reset holding the power and one of the volume buttons. I powered it off and back on and still nothing. The iPad doesn't show sign or make sound like anything's plugged into it. Other suggestions?? I'm now at 1% charge.

Great video! 1 minute into this video and I figured out the nightmare I was going through! I just had to do a hard reset. My iPad wouldn’t charge, it would stay at 1% then shutoff everyday for about a week until I saw this video! Thanks guys for uploading this info! Apple store really don’t want to help you fix anything..there way of fixing a problem is buy telling you, you need to buy a new one 😅

Hey guys, thank you so much. You saved my wife some $400 to $600. I will add something to your advice. When you press both buttons to restart it, do it several times. I did this for 4 days off and on, I didn't give up. On the 4th or maybe 5th day, it totally shocked me, there it was all charged and ready to go. Thank you again and remember, don't give up!!

My I-pad is saying it's charging and goes to the Apple screen, and then it makes the charging sound and opens up to my log in screen for a few seconds before showing the battery screen. Then it does it over and over. Even when I log in it switches right back. Can anybody help me with this? If so, thank you!!

See, I can be on my iPad while it’s charging, and it won’t even charge it will just go down (I’ve never had this problem until last night) and when it died, I plugged it up and left it off, and after AN HOUR AND A HALF it was only at about 20 percent
