I notices before you start changing the charging port, the ribben was lifted from the board but good repaires.

@@VCCBoardRepairs no but i do this work on the daily. I work in a shop. Pull up shemactic, Tristar and check bypass capacitor. Personally i user Tristar tester as an indication only. Personally i do not remove the shield i grind and hatch because the amount of heat to pull that shield generally soaks thru and desolders the charging port from its pad. Its not criticism and i dont need to be on youtube to know what im doing.

@@VCCBoardRepairs im a long time subscriber and admire your videos. I will be using your technique to remove ports. I normally use low melt and heat with hot air. Its a better way the way you do.

What is the part number of those coils around the PMIC? Need replace 4 and cant find :-(

No idea. I just pull from other iPads that look similar. So far, that method has worked for me.

I’m using the same hot air station, I can take the chip off without any problem but chip is going away with the air pressure when I want to solder the new one, can you please help me, what I’m doing wrong?

He didn’t waste it, he can still use the old charging port on a different repair because he still have that part in a good condition
