Thanks it worked...so many people gave the advice to "turn it over and hit it” but your technique was the most practical and it worked. Thanks so much..(mine was never dropped, just sitting on my desk display and just went bad. Probably due to traveling in my purse every day!)

Yeah. The LCD will break and will burn up thats why its flickering. Dont put it on tight and hot places.

I did this a couple of weeks ago and it didn’t work, I tried again yesterday and it still didn’t work then a couple of hours passed and it was as good as new. Screen is working well now, thank you for this.

Thanks for sharing this. I have flickering screen issue on my ipad 5th gen. I have never dropped it, never mishandled it. Earlier I used to leave for somedays, once the battery ran out , I would restart it and it would run just fine. I tried as per your video and on second attempt Boom...it started working.

Thanks, Jacob, for the video. My Apple iPad (old one) display went blank few days ago. I tried basic things of pressing power and home button as per general guidelines; but it didn't work. Then I came across your video providing the tips for handling such problems. I tried it today and it worked perfectly. My iPad's display is back to normal :-). Great advice!

Worked like a charm! Had to do it twice though because I apparently didn't knock hard enough the first time. Did it agan but with stronger knocks and it fixed the issue. Thank you!

Holy Crap!.. It worked! Thanks bro! 👍 The first time I tried to knock didn't do anything, probably because I had a case... Second time it minimized the flicker, It didn't remove it entirely, probably because I was knocking it too lightly Third time, It worked!.. The flicker was virtually gone...it still flickers but very rarely, Now I just have to Remove the 2-3 Lines Edit: It still Glitches, but a knock or three will erase it for a while

@@sixbux hey there! thanks again for the vids i watched your newer ones and they’re all helpful. i would just like to share my ipads weird flickering symptoms in case someone else has it if that’s ok! 1. it looks like a lightbulb on one side is flickering but only that one 2. solution was to up the brightness because i always had it set very low (my room is dark) and the flickering went away 3. theory is that my brightness is broken on lower settings ( i don’t know why) but on higher settings it’s stable and not flickering thanks so much again!

I was experiencing black screen and also flashing. Siri told me to unlock iPad when I had a black screen. I would never have enough time to turn off passcode before blinking and blank screen happened. This saved my iPad. Thank you!!

I have the same IPad as you but I also tried that but my IPad has a black screen and tones of colorful lines. Help 😓. So here's how it happened. I went to charge my IPad and I plugged in the charger, but I accidentally dropped it. I quickly checked it to see if there were any cracks on the screen. But instead, it had a black screen with tons of colorful lines. I tried some of your tips to try and fix it but none of them worked. A few days later when I charged it, I found out it was working but you can't see what you are doing since the glitchy screen was there. Sorry if its long.

Its works because of Touch Digitizer. Due to pressure on screen due to heavy books or drop or rub against floor. Touch digitzer get malfunctioning due to being pressed. And this tapping this way it releases the pressed part and it works well.

Wow thank you, I had a black 1 inch line on the side of mine. It didn't fix it all the way ,but the black line disappeared and it's only a few scrambled color lines now. Way way better ,not only can I use it again for filling out online documents without having to spin the damn thing in a 360 just to read everything and sign , I can get back to playing games on it too 🤓👍

Thank you sir Jacob, i had a issue with my ipad after a new screen repair it goes from its self to screenlock and the first what i did is turn off the sensor who detects if the ipad cover is closed ( lock/unlock button in the display and brightness menu ) . the repair guy.... he told me that the ipad have to be opened again to check the sensor 🤬🤬🤬🤬, no way i bring my ipad to that guy anymore and am happy that i found this video and after some soft knocks the issue disapeared.

My recommendation would be to take the iPad to a repair shop and have them look at it, they can open the iPad and find the root cause of the problem. What does it mean when iPad screen flickers? It is possible that you turn on Auto-Brightness, which causes the iPad screen to flicker. The feature of Auto-Brightness is that iPad can automatically adjust brightness of the screen according to the ambient light. So when the feature is enabled, the screen may flash because of the change of ambient light. How to enable or disable auto-brightness in iPhone/iPad 1. Open 'Settings' To turn off this feature, head to the Settings on your iOS device. 2. Open General settings. 3. Go to 'Accessibility' settings. 4. Now, open 'Display & Text Size' 5. Look for Auto-brightness option. 6. Turn off the Auto Brightness. 7. Open Control centre to change the brightness level.
