Both carry same discipline of study and goals as well. There might be few differences in the structure of semesters according to courses provided in a semester which is not a largely distinguishing feature I would say. So,considering course curriculum you can't differentiate much.

I hope you have gone through that portion of video where I briefed about the course curriculum and roles of IPE graduates. They have sufficient technical knowledge and skills for performing their particular roles in industry. Managerial skills are essential for all those roles and technical knowledge is also unavoidable. IPE graduates attain a sound combination of these two. But here hardcore technical knowledge is trade off with managerial skills to some extent. You can't expect an IPE graduate to have the same level of technical skill which a ME graduate holds just like you can't expect a ME graduate to have the same level of managerial knowledge which an IPE graduate obtains. Both have different purpose to serve with different set of skills.

ভাইয়া আমার IPE পড়ার অনেক অনেক ইচ্ছা। আমার ckruet বা Buet এ IPE আসে নাই। IUT তে আমার মেরিট এ আমি EEE or ME পাব। এখন আমার কি IUT তে IPE পড়া উচিত হবে না migrate হয়ে চলে যাওয়া better? IUT IPE একদম নতুন Department 2019 year থেকে শুরু হয়েছে এইবার প্রথম ব্যাচ গ্রাজুয়েট হবে।

I appreciate your enthusiasm towards IPE and assuming that you want to build your career in industrial sector. I see you have the opportunity of availing ME which is closely connected with IPE and also the mother subject which offers more mobility for switching to branches. If you have any confusion choosing IPE,you can complete your undergrad in ME and then go for masters or higher studies in IPE. It’s not a rare thing to do. Many ME/ChE graduates do masters or higher studies in IPE.

@@hmiliaskaykobadbhuiyan4423 well actually now Iut admission process became harder & even stacked now. Even with 1k merit people are getting IPe now because many buet or CKRUET aspirants are choosing Iut over mother subject of these unis. I think right now I will only get ipe if the situation favours me. Should I pick IPE then? I dont have any good option in my hand right now. Will probably get mse in ruet or becm.

@@user-qq4qc7um3v hey thanks a lot for the suggestion but I dont want to study ipe now or in future. My plans changed. I am now waiting for migration to get mother subjects without civil. Otherwise i will try my luck somewhere else.

It's always up to you to decide which path to choose and nowadays it barely depends on your gender. If you are pointing to work environment for women in IPE sectors, I would like to mention that you will find a lot of female employees from IPE background in the multinational and local companies. In case you don't feel okay with the factory environment or doing field works you can grab the opportunity to choose white collar job roles in company's managerial or administrative roles after pursuing a BSc in IPE.

I have heard very well of AUST IPE. They have a strong alumni base inside BD. But I do not have detailed idea about AUST/AIUB IPE. It will be better if you can find someone from AUST/AIUB IPE and talk to them about facilities provided by these universities. I wish you a bright future ahead.

No,fundamentally both are some and have same mission and vision. However there might be few differences in courses offered which is a very minor distinguishing feature. I know it seems different in a large scale all by seeing its name at the first glance-IEM. Here is the course curriculum of KUET IEM,go through it and also compare it with other IPE course curriculum like RUET(Or SUST /BUET)- www.kuet.ac.bd/department/IEM/index.php/welcome/syllabus The conclusion is up to you to made but as I said you won't find differences other than few (most likely 2/3) courses.

Walaikum Assalam. As you can see,I have explained enough about IPE. It will be better if you talk someone from BTM background and then decide things on your own. Don't rely on others' verdicts.

আমি আহসানউল্লাহ তে কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স এ ভর্তি হয়েছি।আইউটিতে IPE আসবে। আইউটিতে আমার পড়ার খুব ইচ্ছা। কম্পিউটার সায়েন্স না আইপিই কোন্ টা ভালো হবে?

@@mariesculinaryfantasy8429 First of all,I can never give a single line answer to that question saying "this/that is better than the other one" because I don't know about your goals and other backgrounds as well. You need to find it out all by yourself which will be better for you by making a clear note on how you want to see yourself as a professional in the future and to mould yourself in that shape,choose the correct curriculum that guides you towards it. Let's say you want to become a software engineer in near future,taking IPE won't help in that case. Or assume you want to lead the 4th industrial revolution in future,now CSE become less preferable than IPE. Its your goal which should lead you to the selection. Don't just move for an institution unless you have some significantly preferable facilities there(like partial scholarship or other things you think that might be necessary for you in leading a sound academic life). That's my suggestion for you.I wish you all the best.

I have a senior from my department who is currently a faculty member (teacher) there. As much I have know from him- BUFT IPE has a strong faculty base and additionally they follow OBE system(Outcome Based Education) which is highly valued in home and abroad

Can IPE graduates design machines like ME graduates do? The answer is "No" but you need to know why. First of all,it's not the core role IPE graduates rather their task is to use this machine as a production resource in an efficient way. IPE graduates are not entitled to design machines but they have a sound knowledge of machine tools and machinaries. Now ask the same question from the other side.Can ME graduates design products like IPE graduates? The answer is "No". But they have also sound knowledge of production processes but they are not entitled to do so. If you look into the course curriculum, you will see ME has several machine design courses which IPE doesn’t. Again IPE has several product design courses which ME doesn’t. You need to be specific about everyone's roles, knowledge and expertise. There will be always a thin line.

@@safwangamerz8363 In some cases,it’s mentioned in the recruitment circular's educational eligibility section, like "BSc from ME/IPE" - you can apply for these roles and grab the job. But please note that most of the circulars,if you check out on your own,looks for your BSc degree more preferably. So someone applying for a proper mechanical role having completed both BSc and MSc from ME,will have a better advantage than you do. If you are planning your career in a "proper mechanical role" like you mentioned,you may choose ME in BSc to have a smooth transition to job life.

If you are asking about the work environment for female IPE graduates,I have answered a similar question below in the comment section which you can check. Additionally and talking irrespective of your gender,civil engineers have much government job opportunities compared to IPE graduates or any other engineers in BD. If you are enthusiastic for government jobs,prioritising IPE over civil might dismay you in the long run.

Is MIST listed under UGC? Not there,right? It's operational under BUP but BUP is listed there. I am not intended to bring the debate "bhai BUP/MIST ki private na public?",that is clearly not the least purpose of that video. If you have some clear insights on it ,please drop it here so that I along with others can get rid of existing misconceptions regarding the fact mentioned.
