Galaxy S8 was a fantastic phone from a design standpoint. I personally did upgrade to the S9+ from the S8 but will hold onto this for years. It's just a fantastic phone to use.

The S8 is really surviving the test of time. iPhone 7? Ancient. Galaxy S8 from the same year? Still comparable to the iPhone 11 or XS. $800 was a lot to put down but I'm going to hold onto mine for at least 3 more years, so it's 100% worth it. It's surprising how much of the design from today's modern phones is taken from the S8.

Only one thing is cool about Apple: its design is very simple to remember when you're going to teardown them. They're so similar to the each other. Ex: Ip 6s and Ip 11, the placements looks quite similar. from inside

@MonEcctro The British ton is the long ton, which is 2240 pounds, and the U.S. ton is the short ton which is 2000 pounds. Both tons are actually defined in the same way. There is also an third type of ton called the metric ton, equal to 1000 kilograms, or approximately 2204 pounds. The metric ton is officially called tonne. It's a mad system and people tend to not refer to them correctly.

@MonEcctro if you say "tonne", youre necessarily referring to the metric ton because there are other "ton" definitions (see above comment) but by specifying metric, youre saying that its 1000kg and not a us short or british long ton. tonne is also pronounced differently so no need to ever actually say "metric tonne". everyone already knows what you mean when you say either metric or tonne.

Android Flagships cost the same but depreciate in value much faster. 1000$ android costs 400 $ in a year but 1000 $ iphone cost ~700-750 $ after a year.

Apple just wants display tech to be perfected before moving to the next generation of design. Apple is wayyyy more focused on their software and internals. I'm not upgrading my iPhone till Apple makes the iPhone look like the iPad Pro and gets rid of the notch

@@infinity2538 unless it is midnight green, then there are tons of them at the store. I order for delivery 2 ip pro a few day before lauch and it said at least 3 weeks before thay can ship it. On the 1st and 2nd day after lauch I check online with in store pick up and saw they still have everything so I just cancel the delivery. Place the order and come to store to pick the iphone up an hour later. The first day I go to buy the ip 11 they were out of midnight green , on the second day they have it but low in stocks. On both thay the walk-in line was so long that I glad I buy it online, go in and out in less than 15 mins.

Azhar Khan they’re well built, but are they as well built as the iPhone? Doesn’t Samsung use Aluminum instead of Stainless Steel for their all of their phones? I’m pretty sure they don’t use nearly as much recycled material as Apple does either. Their water resistance also isn’t as good. Their build quality is amazing, but not really as good as the iPhones (this doesn’t make one phone better than the other. Just saying, because people will get mad).
