I think some people are missing the point here, Juan isn't arguing the iPhone 11 Pro is a bad phone. In fact he seems to think it's decent. Instead he's pointing out the marketing around the iPhone being for professionals is a bit misleading.

Nice! I had the 11 pro. Brought it back after a week due to network connectivity issues. Then I found a LG v50 on eBay for $400. Snatched it up and wow am I amazed. I did have the v30 in the past and it took sokemof the best photos on any phone I've ever had. The v50 is even better. I am loving the camera and features on this phone. Honestly this should be the phone of the year. If LG only had apples marketing team.

Your insight about the drawbacks with using the lightening port specifically are especially important in my opinion. My doctor friend was complaining about the Type C port on his new iPad for work, telling me he was frustrated when he learned he couldn't use his iPhone pro cable to charge the iPad Pro when it's battery was low. He specifically ranted about how the lightening port was perfect and how there's a lightening version of all the new Type C dongles for "pro's". I've seen quite a few reviewers also make this remark. It's really not clear to consumers the real benefits of going with Type C instead of lightening, and this video really does a good job of explaining those benefits.

Here in the Philippines, you can find a V50 in mint condition for like 24k to 27k pesos, so that's around $500 or less sometimes. Some are even brand new straight from Korea. Not sure how the sellers here managed to lower the price that much. I have never seen anyone using an LG phone on my entire town, last time I saw one using a G7 and that's it. I personally have the V30, and of course I'm eyeing for the V50 lol

Hey Juan guess what? Last week I was at Best buy looking at my two options, the Xperia 1 or G8 thin Q and the best buy rep told me he was trying to sell his since he got an 11 pro. So he sold me his ATT unlocked G8 thin Q in mint condition for $300 lol with a speck case included.. This phone is such a beast and I love your videos on LG phones because it helps me use the phone to the best of my abilities and I just love using it!

As always a very articulate and well presented Video. Most phones nowadays produce good quality photos which to the average person is good enough. I'm a classical musician and a music teacher so audio is top of the list for me. I'm looking for an upgrade to my S9+ after watching your videos I'm leaning towards the LG V50. May I suggest that you make a video just for AUDIOPHILES giving the best options for music production on mobile devices today. It would be interesting as you present your work very well.

I have a free LG v30 that I absolutely love, but the Verizon motherboard that came with my phone has a loose camera connector (not the camera plug themselves). Would a new Verizon motherboard for $75 on AliExpress fix this problem? I don't know how to microsauter.

I think phone companies are using "pro" when really they need to take a leaf out of the graphics card manufacturing book and use "ti" or "super" or "xt". Pro actually means something that can be tested for by people like Juan, much better to use a cool sounding subtitle that people will understand to mean "the faster one".

As a guideline, a pro phone will be hated by normal users but loved by professionals, period. A pro phone cannot please both crowds because they both work in a complete opposite way. A pro phone should always am option to turn off auto mode and have a great manual control over it. iPhones has never been a fan of letting users be in control over most things so, no, iPhones aren't for real pros. Semi pros, probably but real pros would hate the lack of control

I think iPhones HDR video on SDR format always gives a better impression for general users. LG HDR10 is a little bit harder too deal with. My v40 has weird saturation on hdr video conversion. Also cmiiw I think LG did exclusive collaboration with kinemaster including free premium goodies

Apple has really targeted this year's pro phone to mobile video professionals and it shows! but I also think the 11 pro reveals how Apple's previous design decisions (ditching the headphone jack, sticking to lighting and USB 2.0) kneecapped their ability to target mobile journalism, documentarians, and hobbyist/mobile video production. I know apple is capable of creating astounding hardware but I hope they don't trashcan their pro line and leave people hanging for five years forcing small independent creatives to jump ship

The way I define Pro in products is: something that gives you control over the level of automation. It's kind of defined by what's automated and why. Automated camera settings for quicker, more consistent, "good" photos? Well, the reasoning would be speed and lack of knowledge on how to utilise manual settings, right? So, a Pro mode should let you manipulate what you want. Let alone the subjectivity of good photos and the control needed for artistic projects.

True V50 is still a phone that has all you need as a user and more so yes its been underated but it is one of the best phones ever made and not many people know this

I used to love LG. I had the G4, and it had the best camera out of all the phones then with a great and unique design. I also love the removable additional battery that I got for free. But like everyone else, that phone suffered the bootloop issue. Kept me away from LG and settled down with a hand me down iPhone 6s. It’s an okay phone with the perfect size but I hate hate how the iOS puts limit on the hard/software and not as ‘free’ as an android. But I never thought of getting a new phone since I’m cheap as hell; also because I could not settle with any brand unless it’s LG. So I’m here looking at LG’s videos, and I’m glad the phones are okay now (bootloop gone) and have been reading about people’s positive reviews of the V series. The prices of the old Vs are cheap and in my budget but I’m also willing to pay monthly for a new one. Except, I don’t know which one to get. I couldn’t decide so I thought I’d check the specs of upcoming G9 and the V60 only to cry of pain when I saw the sizes were 6.5 😭 I like my iPhone and my old Optimus G because they were only 4.7. I loved my G4 because of the camera and the size but there’s no way I will carry a phone bigger than a 6-inch, even if it’s an LG. So which do you think should I get? Is there an older G or V series (whats the difference anyway) that is smaller in size but has a camera better than the new LG phones? Is it worth buying an old LG (software and hardware wise) over a new one? I’m also shopping for my mom. She has an iPhone 7 (also hand me down from my overly Apple fanatic brother who is now sporting a newer iPhone) but its rear camera is cracked and she loves taking pictures. V50 Single screen version - using now in 2020 and feels as its modern and latest flagship!

Hi i'm from europe (germany) and i have a V20. I'm loving it but I want to upgrade because among others i need a more up to date cam on my phone for my upcomming travel to new zealand on february.. Also it's not running smooth anymore in some apps.. I thought about the xiaomi note 10 but i love these good headphone jacks on lg devices with its good audio and the other specs on the v50 are better e.g. the processor and the expandable micro sd slot etc, 5G, etc.. Sad story that there are no phones any more with easy removeable batteries like my V20. Yeah i know the fairphone or shiftphone can remove batteries but these dont have a good cam... I found on ebay a new v50 for around 540 euro out of korea. Will there be any problem for using it in europe/germany? The language should be no problem i guess (you can change it leastwise to english) and i can use my old charger if needed... What other good phones will come in your mind for around 500 to 650 euro? Samsung has no headphone jack and huawei is questionable with these shitty US sanctions (Android support, playstore, apps)... Greeting))

I have a v50 and i like it, one thing the iphone do better is speaker quality. The 11s speakers are very loud and has alot of bass. The v50 only gets close to that while using the boombox feature
