I've been using the new iPhone 12 for a week after upgrading from an iPhone 8. So far, I've found it's great. Still getting used to the minor changes since I don't have the Home button anymore.

I went from 6+ to 8 to 12 pro , it is amazingly fast how I do not look for the home button at all. although 5 out of 9 times I shut the phone down lol to sleep while missing the volume up button at the same time as the sleep button while attempting my screen shots! Battery has been awesome, verizon 5 g and WiFi usage have been awesome. I am in love with the upgrade.

Update... I got my iPhone 12 pro max and it’s so much better than my 8 plus, battery lasts so much longer, camera is 10000x better and the screen is so much clearer and brighter

I’m also rocking the blue iPhone 12 128gb. So far so good. No buyers remorse over not getting the iPhone 12 pro. Gave my red iPhone 11 to my wife to replace her iPhone 8+.

Apple is limiting MagSafe for the iPhone 12 mini to 12W compared to 15W for the other iphone 12s to healp preserve the battery for longer

I love my iPhone 12- blue model. I upgraded from the white XR and I’m loving the squared off design, it makes the bezels thinner and the phone is flatter, the display is SO much better since it has an OLED screen opposed to screen on the RX. It’s lighter and thinner and the edges give it that premium feel. It feels good in the hand and the color is beautiful and I’m not particularly a fan of blue. 2 cameras are obviously better than one ( like the iPhone XR.) I love having the option to do portrait mode on everything instead of just people. It was definitely worth the upgrade for me!

@@federico5756 yeah. Like I got my case and screen protector the day I got the phone and I haven’t taken it out or used it once without it. If you use it naked I just feel your taking that risk, especially with the 12 and 12 pro which seem to scratch a bit easier. Be careful of the aluminum sides and even the camera module can scratch too although they seem to wipe aways on those areas. Just like you said, just be careful and take care if it. That’s all.

@@federico5756 well I have a 12 and there’s no scratches after a week but I’ve been very careful, but my girlfriends 12 pro has a few minor scratches already it just depends how careful you are I don’t really like screen protectors so I don’t have them on

Love all your reviews and I’ve learned so much. Been blessed with a 128GB blue (used one) with 100% battery health and still four months of warranty left for $450. It’s the cutest phone I have ever owned. Just the right size.

I would say apps do reload somewhat often with just 4GB of RAM. Really hope Apple will optimize ram management in future iOS updates. Also if you put iPhone 12 side by side with previous iPhones, you would realize the display is relatively more yellow (warmer) than iPhone 11 or X, not sure if it is a good thing or bad thing.

Last week I bought an iphone 12 out of impulse..I was using a 11 and was super happy with it...Today I had finally decided to transfer over to 12 and so far enjoying it...It feels light and display looks crisp with good blacks and vibrancy..definitely worth an upgrade for people using Pre X Devices..

I’m getting around 9 1/2 to 10 hours with hard use and that’s not using low power mode and I’m running on 5G from T-mobile. I’ve had the phone for almost a month and no issues yet and battery life seems stable as well.

Still managing to get Atleast 10-12 hours of constant use on my 12 from a full charge. Much better than my 8 which lasted 3-4 hours when I changed over.

I have recently upgraded from iPhone SE to iPhone 12 and I am really satisfied with it. IPhone 12 is super fast, makes great photos and has long battery life (1 day after intense usage). My advice is not to take iPhone 12 mini - the experience with larger screen is far better.

Aaron. Some update from Apple regarding the use of dual sim and 5G. Apple have confirmed that as of iOS 14.1 dual sim in use will not also support the use of 5G. However, there shall be a software update coming to the iPhone which will enable the use of two sims in the iPhone 12 series and also enable the use of 5G simultaneously.

I am living in a small country in Europe, called Bulgaria. We only have 4G and I guess we wont see any kind of 5G in the upcoming 5 years lol. Yet still with 2 bars of reception our 4G goes to 180Mbps Down and around 50-60 Up. Can't imagine what 5G will be :)

I have the exact phone n it’s been great. Battery is good n I have watched it switch to 5g n I can see much quicker response so I’m happy with it. I’m trying to adjust to the square/shaper edges but otherwise happy. I decided against 12 pro for the price since I’ll up grade next year n that will be my long term phone. Nice review

I must say that I am truly enjoying this phone I just made the upgrade a month ago after having the iPhone 8plus for the last 4 years. Decided to make an upgrade and T-Mobile told me I was eligible for their Jump On demand plan and all I had to do was turn in my device for the iPhone 12.

I did it! iPhone 12 from iPhone 11 via T-Mobile JUMP on-Demand (Lease) both at 128GB... Smaller in the hand by fit and the old iphone 11 case of course does not fit the 12... Selfies in Portrait mode are wonderful!!! Especially for my dark skin! Need more time to play with the camera and use the phone... I might go down to the 12 mini?

I’ve found the same with my 12. I didn’t upgrade my XR because I know I’m affected by the flicker. But I’m glad I did as had zero issues with my eyes with the screen.

Very helpful. It’s amazing how much lighter and better the blue looks in these videos because in real life, it’s very a very dark navy blue, almost gray to me. I miss the battery indicator in the upper right after my iPhone 6, but overall, I’m very satisfied.

The 5g modem in the iPhone is the x55, not the x60, so it doesn’t support carrier aggregation on 5G only LTE. This might mean that LTE is faster in real world

X55 does support aggregation on 5G. That's how it goes up to 7.5 Gbps. It just can't aggregate TDD and FDD bands at the same time. But the multiple 20-MHz band aggregation terminology that we use for LTE is available on X55 for 5G. They are different strategies altogether. For TDD and FDD to work together -- we are not even sure if that's a viable strategy. If good mmwave signal is available, then what X55 does should be enough. If it's not, then what X55 done is enough. If both available and good, then what X55 does would be enough. Ericsson validated in August that it can be implemented on towers. Should it? We don't know. I can't think of a single scenario where it would be useful.

From a fulltime android user I have to say the video capture on the iPhone 12 is awesome. I have to say I really really want to try the iphone 12 but as I lost my fulltime job of 20yrs recently this has stopped me from getting one. Have to wait and see what happens, would love one.

I have the 11 Pro right now - Do you think its worth getting the iPhone 12? I use my 11 Pro for taking a lot of videos and photos of the family (but always found that the skin tones were off on the 11 Pro)

I have an iPhone X and have issues with the eye strain from the screen. I have to make sure the screen brightness is down really low so that I can look at the phone for more than 30 seconds at a time.

Hi Aaron thanks for your review, I love your videos. Here in Spain the difference between 12 and 12 Pro is 200€ that is because I decided to get 12 Pro in pacific blue. Replaced my XR 128gb with iphone 12 128gb because AT&T was giving $800 for upgrade. Was very happy with XR, but upgrade path was very affordable. Don't really see much difference in battery life. That said, phone reception (5G) quality is much better. I do like the new design, even with a case (SILK) it feels noticeably smaller than the XR. The big negative to the 12 is that whereas the old "chi" charger worked with my case (SILK) with no issues, the new phone with "chi" charger is more sensitive. I now need to remove my license and credit card from my case for the "chi" charger to work.

I appreciate the fact that you showed unedited, straight from the camera footage (I assume). I hate how other youtuber's show off edited versions of the photos/videos, and praising how great it is without showing before and afters (straight from the camera). Which, by the way, is false advertising as what apple does. Using gear and editing to make their sample images and videos to advertise. I am an iphone user, but I need them to be REAL, not "let me show you my version over the original"

I currently have the 12 pro and while I love it, the thing is pretty heavy. I was wondering if switching to the standard 12 is worth it alone for the decrease in weight. I’d hate to give up the extra ram and lens.

Hi, great video. Did you keep 12’s True Tone off while filming the video? Also, I feel 12’s display is slight more warmer when compared to 11.

Always. True tone is never on when I film as it makes the screen look more yellow

100% agree with you. I never really liked the rounded designs. Not just on the iPhones but on ALL phones. Sadly those rounded and slippery phones are the standard on the entire market so I'm happy to finally have a squarish design back!

I went with the Pro in hopes that I won’t have to deal with pages crashing due to low RAM for a long time and since I need 128gb. I also want that little bit of extra zoom and lidar for future concert pictures. Figured I might as well get a new color and picked gold for the first time ever. I’m still not sure that it’s worth the extra $120 and I’m continuing to watch all the reviews to see if I’m a fool lol. Thank you for all your videos.

So if i were to upgrade the extra ram isn’t going to matter because the phone will still be close apps in the background anyway. What is your current phone? Right now I’m on a Xs max and its held up great. With only four gigs of ram its still holds up. Performance constantly shocks me. Honestly the regular iphone 12 would be a good value as well but for the 128 storage the price difference isn’t too much.

One thing I like about the magsafe charger is I do not have to flip a tab open on my case to charge. After a year or two I have found that tab wearing to the point where it easily tears off.

Just purchased the new iPhone 12. The phone updated to 14 .2 while in the store which was nice. One thing though. When recording 4K 60fps the video is butter smooth. If I record at 30 or 24 frames per second, the video is completely useless. Jumpy or stutters like mad. Tried restarting phone but does the same.

What do you think did Apple leave the iPhone 12 at just 64 gigs so we would all upgrade to the iPhone 12 Pro because for another 150 bucks it seems like it’s worth it? Will wait till Best Buy gets all the phones then go down and take a look I’m not going to the Apple Store because they become psycho about the virus and you Gotta make an appointment And then I was interviewed by four people when I wanted to go and look at a watch it’s just not fun to go anymore .As iPhone SE 2020 on her I’m waiting for the mini to come out anyway

Upgraded from iPhone X . I am enjoying the ultra wide angle camera on 12 and not missing the telephoto because I don’t remember using the telephoto lens on my iPhone X . And the performance is noticeably awesome from X.

The half hour difference is probably coming from more aggressive under clocking on the 12. Aluminum frame doesn't act as a heat radiator quite as well as shiny steel. Also, Apple would probably like 12 and 12 mini to perform similarly. mini has a very small thermal footprint. So it will be a combination of smaller screen and under clocking to make device perform same, in terms of performance, battery, and heat. That proportional under clocking is probably done on 12 too to match performance. Which is why it's probably giving that extra hour for most people.

I got the 12 in black 4 days ago, and I already have a small scratch too. I definitely recommend to anyone getting this phone a screen protector. Since I got Apple Care+, I will probably change the screen in 6-7 months. Besides that, this phone is incredebly good!

Recently iphone has some issues in Asian region. The network is always 2-3 bars. Not the full bars available where the cheap phones can reach 4 bars. Even with you network, it shows like that.

I currently have an XR and I've been looking to upgrade to the iPhone 12. I'm inclined to go for the standard version as opposed to the pro since I don't see myself getting much value from the extra camera features.

I chose the 12 Pro mainly for its Qualcomm modem, 128GB storage and 6 GB ram. Camera was a bonus.

12 also has the same Qualcomm, and 128GB is also available on 12 for 50$ extra which is pretty good. As for 6GB Ram you'll barely notice it unless u have like 15 apps open, got myself a 12 as it fits the needs

Had my iPhone 12 for a few days and it’s a lovely phone. Coming from both an XR and Pixel 4a. Build quality is fantastic but wish iOS did notifications and swipe gestures like Android.

Was just in an Apple store (by appt only but no other customers inside) and looked at all the 12s and 12Pros first hand. It really comes down to one's color/finish preference, but must say the graphite sealed the deal for me. Also have to say "everything old is new again" actually seems old.

I had a 12 pro ordered but cancelled it as I'm curious to see how the 12 mini looks. Kind of bummed the 12 pro isn't getting similar camera upgrades as the pro max. Lately I've been more interested in smaller devices. Really wish they had a mini with top end specs.

I don't have a preference either way on cases, rounded or square. I always use a case and screen protector.
