Thanks for the comment bro.. I’m definitely trading my 11 pro for the13 mini.. was disappointed with SE 2020 (upgrading from SE 1st gen at that time lol) so I went with 11 pro as it was the smallest iPhone available at that time that has decent battery life.. Be safe everyone

I just traded in my XS for the 13 mini because my Xs battery was seriously degraded. I miss my 5.8” screen, I really loved the XS. When I first got the mini I opened the box and had an instant rush of regret. Now 3 days into using it I’m really loving it. I forgot what it’s like to have a phone so light weight 🤣 I like how I can put it in my pocket easily and my small purse. I did have to enlarge the text because well I’m 41 and my eyes aren’t what they used to be. The battery lasts me all day.

@@emward6858 I could have but I’m glad I didn’t. Like stated above I really love my 13 mini. Just took a few days to adjust. Apple ended up giving me more for my XS than stated on their site so it was worth it.

And 41 is still young!!! 😉 congrats tho. I’ve had my mini since April 1st. Last day to exchange or go back to a Max is Thursday but I’m good. I’m practicing being a minimalist and it’s been refreshing! The Mini was just about created equal with the 13 family of iPhones so that helped.

I actually have the xs at the moment been having it for 4 months and 2 weeks and the battery has not been letting me down just yet… I am planning on upgrading the phone in a couple months maybe in June 2022

This video seems to represent my experience as well. It’s good enough for a regular day at work where you check your phone occasionally and you can still have some juice for an evening out. However, if your day is full of street photography, searching for places to eat, taking photos of the city you won’t get the same peace of mind as with the 13 Pro.

I think it’s perfect the battery life for most people and even moderate to heavy ish users. My only reservation is how long do people intend to keep their iPhone 13? I think degradation after a couple of years will really hit this phone more than say the regular 13 as it can afford more to lose, say an hour of use over time

Yeah. I think I will upgrade from my iPhone SE (2016) straight to iPhone 13, but I am reserved regarding mini. The form-factor is perfect, but... I did use to have about 4 hours of screen time with my brand new iPhone SE. Now, after one battery change (and at about 87% battery health), I am down to about 2:20 ish. Extrapolating, this is about 2:40 with ~100% battery health. This comes with two causes: The obvious being the battery. The latter is new SW being more demanding - I do not think it is iOS fault. The other apps simply demand more power. And the old SE can deliver... at a trade-off. Thus after 6 yrs, I think I will pay up the $100 and get a better battery.

Just get the Magsafe Battery Pack with the $100 you safe. That’s what I did, I can enjoy the 13 Minis beautiful form factor with almost the same battery life than the 13 Pro. 🤷‍♂️

Nice one! Being outside on 5G with high brightness, recording videos and still 5+ hours of SOT is great! I can't imagine how good it should be when on wifi and medium brightness.

I can tell that the 13 mini has kinda the same batteryperformance as the 12 pro last year. At least for me. Easily coming through the day. Awesome device. In my opinion the go to device ofc!

I have noticed that the mini doesn’t really do well at battery life when you aggressively watch videos. At times I like to scroll through reels for an hour or so and it would definitely burn through like 25% battery. However, on a normal workday when I don’t have that much time, I will still be at 50% at around 7 PM

You are getting a very similar performance that i have with my Oneplus 9pro, i'm impressed considering the difference of size. More than enough for most users (if you consume 6hours+ of screen on time on a daily basis, you have a problem)

Watching this on the iphone 13 mini. I didn't transfer my whatsapp from my Android.....well, I didn't charge my 13 mini for a day and it still has 19% left. Charged once in 2 days and still counting....I'm hell impressed with Apple!

Honestly i have not changed my 6s since 2016 and to my surprise it is still working fine. The only issue is its battery dies really quickly I had a battery replacement and again it just sustains 2 more hours only. I'm thinking of upgrading to 13 mini since I'm used to smaller phones really expecting insights from those who actually uses it day-to-day. Thanks.

Got mine on Monday. At first I kinda had regrets buying it. Then I noticed how easy it is to pull it out of my pocket, check my notifications, unlock, and reply with just one hand. Battery life also is pretty impressive also unless you game on it and watch a lot.

Every day I have approximately 5h of screen time and still 40% battery left. It’s about 20:00 in the evening. My work day starts at 6:00. So no charger since 6 o’clock in the morning. I can send a screenshot to e-mail as a proof

@@catdowntheroad2782 I’ve watched few videos on Y-tube about iOS15 battery saving tips & settings. There’s a lot of things switched on from factory that most of us don’t need and it helps to save battery if you switch them off. So, I suggest you to do the same and switch off all unnecessary shit.

Getting this over the bigger iPhones its truly a huge upgrade from the 6s the screen size wont be an issue as i am used to the 4.7” inches and moving up to the 5.1” iPhone 13 seems more convenient for me never had a big phone before don’t think i will 🤔

It actually did pretty good considering that you are on light mode. Imagjne the additional battery life if you are on Dark mode. I find the mini so cute and tempting to buy. But my friend is telling me to get the regular 13 instead. Though the 12 pro max deal is quite tempting cos from the regular 13 it's only about 60 USD more.

@@sreeragnk yeah. The 13 pro max is too expensive here. It's about 300 USD more than 12 pro max. Though I've been thinking of getting a compact phone for a change. Phones are getting bigger and heavier and it's cumbersome during long commutes and outdoor activities when I don't want or can't bring a bag

I visited my bestie the other day and he has the Pro Max. It is heavier and denser than the 11 pro max. I was like “thank goodness I didn’t go for this slab”. But yea, obviously it has its benefits but for a person who want to experience a small and cute phone it didn’t bother me much while picking up my baby 13 mini.

Thanks for the video! Looks like battery will easily last one day in my use, as I work from 07 AM to 5 PM. My only concern is the battery life in days like yours, when you travel, take a lot of pictures, videos, etc. It seems not enough, and in this case I would go for the iPhone 13.

I am considering getting the 13 mini. I like smaller phones and this one has excellent battery life from what I've seen. I've heard most say it gets anywhere from 6-8 hours of screen on time. Can anyone confirm this? Clearly from the video if he got 5 and a half hours of screen time with 18 percent left then he probably got at least 6 and a half hours of screen time. That's excellent for a smaller phone and battery size.

So if it is a workday your 13 mini would get you to the end of the day with over 20%(not much over) but ic it is a weekend or you are using it constantly you will have go charge it(if you are using it nonstop for videos and games and that 4h screen time) i had my 13 mini for last 2-3 months and it is still like from the box

Hey mate loved the video as I am also thinking about moving from the iPhone 11 Pro (non max) to iPhone 13 Mini. Also I'm from Melbourne so it was cool to see my city in a vlog. Battery is definitely my only concern with the 13 Mini and I know it has been improved from the 12 Mini but I still don't know if I will pull the trigger. I'm thinking about those days where I would go on a trip, do some navigation, some airpods music, taking lots of photos, walking and using phone with high brightness - you know those fun days outside. That's my only hesitation and I think your video gives me some confidence in this. Perhaps I would get the Magsafe battery pack although that is 1 more thing to carry which then defeats the purpose of having the small phone... :( Anyway thanks for the detailed video, good stuff.

With iPhones you have to manually add screen on time from the moment you took it off the charge at 100%, see the graph, so with rough calculation the SOT is around 4 hours 10mins and not 5hrs 24mins you see there.

I am sure though? Cos i think the 4hrs 10 mins is more about ‘background’ mins calculation isnt it? Cos every usage stats has two components; screen on and background.

@@sreeragnk No just have a look at the graph above, it clearly shows that your phone was unplugged at 7:30am and that's the point where battery test begins, because screen on on iPhones will show you previous days usage as well, (blue bar graphs shown before you started charging), so to calculate SOT on iPhones you have to manually add blue bars from the moment you unplugged which roughly add up to be around 4 hours 10ish? Minutes

i really like your video, i am using iphone 12 pro and when wearing the case it is very heavy and thick in my pocket so this year i choose iphone 13 mini starlight . better battery, powerful performance, it looks very neat in my pocket when I go to the gym or go for a run

Xiaomi has a ultra battery function where they block almost all functions of the phone except for calls, messages, camera and 6 apps you pick and that can make 5% battery last about 2 hours while you used the camera to make lot of photos, send them and make a call, which is amazing, so why can't apple (and google) create an option like that??!!
