Mark, thanks for a look at the new eSIM feature. I also switch between iOS and Android quite often. The removal of the SIM tray is going to be a bit of a problem and that might be why Apple did this. Making it more difficult for people to switch AWAY from the iPhone. We'll see. I haven't even decided if I am going to get the 14 Pro or 14 Pro Maxx seeing as I have a 12 Pro and S22U. Curious to hear more about the device you find yourself using most of the time.

Oh man I've been waiting for Ur review on this iPhone 14 Pro. I got a big question, if I decided to move to an iPhone (I'm on Android with a Poco X3 Pro 256Gb ROM and 8G RAM) where my music files are in FLAC format (the vast majority almost 97%) the other percentage are in mp3 and m4a format, is there a possibility to easily transfer those files to an iPhone today? I have asked all the iPhone experts and none of them answer me, I hope U, please, answer me. I'll be attentive to Ur answer!

I actually think dynamic island is a bad implementation because it forces you to interact with the top of the screen which is the hardest part to reach on the Pro Max. I would love to try it on a mini sized iPhone. On the 13 series, all the functionality dynamic island covers, stays at the bottom of the lock screen which is by far the better place to interact with the screen.

Hi Mark. Thanks for the great video on the iPhone 14 Pro setup. I can see many viewers (including myself) have concerns on transfer esim back to a physical sim device. Just wondering if you can make a video later on how that transition looks like. I will be super appreciated!!

Once you go ESIM you can just keep it. Just have to call customer service when you wanna go from iphone to Android and vice versa

Great video Mark! One question, do you think the esim activation process is going to be more difficult if you are going from a physical sim android phone to a new iphone? Obviously iphone to iphone seems easy but I am concerned that I am gonna have issues going from android to iphone since i got the phone straight from apple and not through a carrier...

No matter how you dress a notch, it's still a notch. In fact it's really a notch and a hole punch linked by software, in the sun is distracting. And the upgrade in the front camera was needed because of the Greasy Selfie Island. Jokes appart, your take about the one hand /two hand change is spot on. The software tries to save the hardware. Love your not biased take on tech. 👍👍👍

This isnt the first time apple ditched the sim card slot. The verizon or CDMA iphone 4 didnt have a sim card. But that didn't last long cause the 4s had it back

All you would need to do is to open up a carrier settings on your android phone and select the option to transfer eSIM from another phone :) that’s it

Probably stating the obvious here however when you move a number from a SIM card to an esim the physical SIM card is burned. You can’t switch back.

Yep. I just figured out the solution. All I need to do is pick up my Samsung phone, and open up the carrier settings and add eSIM. It’ll transfer over :) it’s actually really simple

Love the purple iPhone but I’m bored with iPhone had one for years so I am switching to the s22 ultra in burgundy I think the island is even uglier then the notch to be honest 🤷🏻‍♀️ I think the always on display is to distracting makes me think I’ve got a msg or something.

I was waiting for the iPhone 14 pro so i can decide if i should get one or the s22 ultra. When i saw it and what it has to offer i chose the s22 ultra. The esim only choice on the iPhone 14 killed it for me as i often switch phones

I like what apple did this year. I like that they aren’t following what android phone makers are doing and just having a pin hole and getting rid of face unlock like google did when it went on to make the pixel 5. I’m happy they are embracing the Face ID hardware and yes I like the always on display just because you see the time the background and all of your notifications instead of just seeing icons which is no help to me.

The dynamic island seems very gimmicky. Its one time magic wonder to wow your non iphone user friend its quite distracting. If you are doing stuff there is always something going on top. Your eyes will always go there even if you don't think about it that much. I guess they are trying to make notches cool again. The always on display is more of a dim wallpaper rather a real AOD. That shows only the necessary stuff. But someone might tell me how wrong about these "features" 🤣

I wonder about OLED burn-in and power consumption. How bad does it kill your battery and how long until you start seeing the clocks' numbers on every other screen. If it's possible (no idea) I'd turn it off, because who cares that much about the time or notifications. It'll pop up when you lift the phone anyhow.
