Question, how do i fix my esim? I think the module stopped working. I cant see anything under cellular settings. Multiple factory resets did nothing. Apple said its likely the part itself and claimed its attached to motherboard. I have the US model. Cost to repair is like $500. Seeing as you know this phone pretty well, can i replace the esim module somehow? Any advise or assistance would be appreciated.

Dual ESIM can be restored. Remove the physical SIM card holder and connect the ESIM cable that was cut off before.

Of course not! Changing to dual physical card slots requires cutting off two esim lines. "SIM+esim" can be achieved by cutting off one line.

As I just checked out the event today again if I ever happen to buy a new i15 when it goes on sale I’d go down to the states to pick it up and bring it to Canada ! Plus I’d ever find ways to add SIM card tray to US version! There’s a rumour that there is a third party company where they can tear down the phone and just add the SIM card tray feature to only eSIM phones !so i rather go down this route to maintain dual esims and one physical sim and one physical sim options. As I live at Niagara I’ve always been buying new iPhones in USA across the border! 😊

If you want to keep the eSIM function at the same time, you can add one more physical SIM card slot. To achieve "1 x eSIM + 1 x SIM", you do not need to cut the eSIM line.
