I heard sources that if you used an iPhone you will only get 130 inch screen but if you used a android you can get the max size of 210 inches. Is that true

We’re so far from that right now. This doesn’t have a built in battery so it needs to be plugged in. With a battery you’d still need something strapped behind your Head along with additional internals to communicate with your phone

cant you just use the actual usb -c from the back of the iphone14 charger to the back of the glasses instead of using the adaptor? and the original cord it comes with?

So, as I’m learning while I await my Air and adapter, the Air adapter has its own battery to supply the Air, so you’re only supposedly limited to up to three hours of viewing before the Air depletes the battery. It would’ve been nice to have a passthrough Lightning cable to the Lightning adapter to provide endless juice. Or is there any way to charge the Air adapter while using it?

Will this work with any MacBook Pro with USB-C/thunderbolt ports ? Notice a couple reviewers mentioned M1 MacBooks. I have maxed out 2019 MacBook Pro. Thanks for the review !

Unfortunately I don’t have any Intel macs to test this on but if the USB C port has video out it should work

It will work with any MacBook with USB-C and DP output for mirror or expanded screen. And for M1 Macbooks, we will release software that allows you to get up to three virtual screens.

It's the beginning of AR, a very practical and cool tech.. still not there. they need to think outside the box about how to fit a battery and CPU inside the device itself, maybe adding a mini halo strap for the back and overall support.

Do you need a special cable to connect to your phone? I have the Airs and have never tried with iPhone. I just use Steam Deck

If you have a USB C iPhone you don’t. With lightning you need a Beam.

Jazz, is correct. The Air glasses come with prescription glasses. I to, wear glasses and that was my concern as well. I actually pick mine up tomorrow. Mine will have my prescription in them. Costs me about $145…not too bad 🤷🏾‍♂️ Can’t wait to finally test my Nreal Air’s 🙌🏾

T think the main reason for AR to exist is the content should interact with the real world. I means you can put the screen on a table and go around it but its still on the table, not just move with you like a screen in front of your eyes like that.

Yes but there are obvious benefits to this early iteration .. which fits the use case for many people. Like for me, i travel a lot, having a large portable monitor is a god send

Nreal's marketing team have played it smart and shipped every reviewer this side of the Mississippi a free pair in exchange for a review. If these were $200, I might consider them but not worth the current price-tag. Wait a few months for the newness to wear off and get them used on eBay or Facebook.

I never tried that. Most drones (assuming FPV) already have headsets but if you just use casual drones the mirrored experience should show you exactly what is on the phone screen so it should work just fine.

Works for both! The iPhone you need an adapter but for android just plug it in via USB C

Did you even watch the video? It's basically made for Android first if anything. Using it with an iPhone will result in a smaller screen as well vs Android or anything else.

You should have ran Samsung Dex on them with a Samsung phone and then turn the phone screen off put it in your pocket connect a mouse, keyboard, and gaming controller .

Yup you can do that! I am not a huge Dex user. I can just use a laptop with USB C so it’s not appealing to me.

Let's be real they look silly as he'll 😆 🤣 and I don't really understand the use case for gaming or for use with pc. Like when using it on your pc you claim you were outside responding to emails etc how do you type etc 🤔 I just don't feel like I get it. I enjoy the idea of vr that works with phones a lot my only try was original Samsung vr was great
