This video shows how to fix an iPhone 8 Plus that was stuck in a boot loop (Apple logo turns on then off). This same technique/concept can be applied to several different iPhone models like iPhone 7 or 7 Plus boot loop, iPhone 8 boot loop, iPhone SE boot loop. Even newer models like iPhone X, XR, XS Max, and the iPhone 11 series has been known to have a similar issue. The customer said this phone was working fine until it updated to iOS 13.5.1. The problem continued after a successful iTunes restore so I tried to unplug some of cables and discovered that the problem is the camera flex cable. After the cable is unplugged the phone boots successfully. A simple replacement of the flex cable fixed the problem. Here is a direct link of where you can find the part on Amazon.com..

honestly I thought this was a joke when I seen you told me to unplug the front facing camera for a loop problem. but after trying just about everything in my experience with phones, I decided shit why not try this? it won't hurt nobody. and won't you look at that. Thanks man! Wife's cellphone was stuck in infinite boot after I changed the lcd screen. I tried the volume up/down + restart, I tried taking the touch ID button off and restarting the whole process, nothing was working. I snapped off the camera collector while in infinite loop and it started normally. Snapped it back on once it was on and it did the job!

Son just upgraded to iOS 14 did the same thing to his iphone 8, if anyone is having the issue, this resolved it after disconnecting. I will need to find a replacement though.

Replaced my front camera flex & still bootloops. Once flex is disconnected phone starts just fine. Rear camera works fine if that has anything to do with it.

I’m not sure but I suppose that something is shorted in the flex cable or speaker and that is the cause. But this is only theory I have not investigated it that thoroughly.

My phone is also stuck in boot loop. Loops every 3 min 15 seconds . If I take the phone off charger it shows up as complete discharged and only loops when charger is plugged in. Earlier it was holding battery and looping even after I removed the charger ...can’t afford to loose data ..what to do

asakhala It seems you are experiencing a different problem than the one displayed in this video. I’m not sure what your issue is. You will most likely need to take the phone to a professional for a diagnostic.

Hi! Having the same issue, I guess my phone updated overnight and it's been doing this all day. I tried what you just did and it's still bootlooping! Do you have any other possible solutions? I've even unhooked the battery flex cable and while it did let the screen go off, as soon as I reconnected it, the issue started again.

Disconnect the front camera/ear speaker flex cable. That should fix the boot loop.

If i remove the speaker like how you did will it reset my phone and delete all data off the phone? I Ask because I noticed your screen was asking what language which is normally after it has been factory reseted?

I originally thought the problem was a software issue with the iOS update so I did a factory reset. When that didn't work I began to troubleshoot the hardware of the phone and I identified that this component was the actually the problem. Yes. The ear speaker and front camera won’t work but everything else should be fine.

Great find. But misleading. NOT anybody can perform this at home. You have to have tools, good mechanical dexterity and an amount of familiarity with opening, disassembly, reassembly of these. Viewer take note!.

You might want to try a another battery. I have seen some aftermarket batteries that are not very good.

True is lost by changing the screen. There is a product on the market that you can use to restore True Tone if you have the original screen to download the data.
