You can still hear slight airy back noise from the fan. Cloud lifter would help maybe?

the cloudlifter just gives it more volume so if anything you’d hear it more. the only way to cut out the fan is to either turn it off or use some software that has voice isolation

Why does yours sound so good? Mine connected to my phone or laptop sounds so LOW! I have to basically put my lips on it to sound decent.

I haven't changed any settings, I opened the app and had no idea what I was looking at. I am using the Shure cable, perhaps that makes a difference? I talk loud too?

Thanks. Big increase in quality. However, a lot of plosives (pops) when you get close to the mic. I have heard that replacing the foam over the front with the one from the Shure SM7b cures that.

I asked Shure and they said there is no official way. There might be a hack somehow by running that mic through a lavalier transmitter? I don't have the right cables to try but you've got my wheels turning

I don't have one of those to test so I can't confidently recommend anything but it does look like that microphone is mini usb. So Mini USB to lightning is worth trying for directly to the iphone. Mini USB to regular USB should connect to a laptop. But for two people- connecting two microphones to one iPhone would require something different. I like the Rode Wireless Go II for this - They have a few phone compatible models now. But if you really really want to use podcast-y mics, I'd have to think about how to do that efficiently. Couple of ways it *could* work but it would require something to plug them both into then that into the phone.

I use it with the Rodecaster Pro 2 sometimes but typically right into the phone - although something must have changed somewhere because my audio is always so low and I can’t figure out why

I used to use an XLR mic to record music on my iPhone, but after the last few updates my iPhone records audio at low levels when I use my old xlr now. This was recorded straight into the iPhone stock camera app BUT I have been having new issues lately with this and another Shure Mic that I’m waiting to hear back about. Try it - Let me know if it works :) you’ll have to unplug to hear playback

The iPhone sounds tinny and too much treble like very low Bass. MV7 has Bass and does a way better job at isolating the fan noise and it would sound even better on an XLR setup but on usb it still sounds good
