You will lose True Tone is you change the screen for an aftermarket screen. Nevertheless everything will work perfectly while you use you iPhone SE.

This was me as a kid.. I had a iphone 5 at 13 rocked a tablet suppose I was an iPad kid before they were a thing 😂 always stuck with the se until the x came out but skipped up to a 13 and now I'm back on the original x but I have dozens of iphones laying around cause I've worked and I'm Canadian so money isn't hard to earn but I may put the iphone se 2020 onto an iphone se 2016 screen for fun cause the battery is flat one the og se and the screens broken on the new 2020 se

Hi thanks for the video, I changed my screen, I did everything good I think but now when I start it I get a flashing apple logo. All the cable coms seem okay, any advice

Check the cable again. The screen should work normally without any issues. Check the cable coming from the screen first then replace your old screen to see if you have the same problem. What is the exact bit type for the lateral screens holding the LCD screen to the glass (at 1:40) ? It's a tripoint shape, but I don't have a bit for it. Is it y000? y00? etc?

Disconnect the battery cable first before changing the screen and the last cable you plug in after installing the screen and all other flex cables

@@ersbit i did this in the way you said it but when I try charge the device it shows the low battery icon but when disconnected and try power it on it shows a quick glimpse of coloured lines any idea?

Please check connection of your flex cables. Also the front camera at the top right (if I remember right) if that is connected upside down (wrong) it may show the issues you are saying.

You can try to change the glass only but it requires way more experience to successfully do it. These screens are really cheap now that why I as ice to change the whole screen. You can buy the glass only and screen at the same time. Try changing the glass only if it doesn't work out well you you have the complete new screen that you can install at that time.

Inside a shop I think it depends screen replacement can be between $60 to $100 and back a little bit more. If the shop has laser fir the back it's cheaper if they have to do the back manually that more labour. Every shop is different depending on branding and reputation

To be honest I don't know on top of my head like that. I'd have to search for that answer or do the test myself. One thing you can do it to look online if they are selling speaker iPhone 8 and have iPhone se in the title that means they are the same and are interchangeable.

Some yes but usually iPhone have 3 different screws types. Making it more difficult to repair than Samsung devices.

Yes. Most likely. Shops do have parts in stock for devices they repair very often. It's better to give them a call to make sure you they have part available to fix same day.

Yes. if you are a very detailed person you will see the differences. 1-Pixels will be visible and you will clearly see the difference with genuine screen 2-Touchscreen does not differ too much 3-Screen might be very easy to get blue spots (in a while page you can see some blue on edges here and there) This is not systematic but when you install the screen and supply too much pressure on the screen/frame for the glue to stick you can create some blue spots. 4-Some of these screen can be a bit too bright and consume too much battery opposed to apple screens. Hope this answers your question!

iphone 8 screen fits iphone se 2020 screen. The pop-ups notification can be removed by reprogramming the device...it's more spending for the programing machine etc...the pop-ups notification doesn't impact the device performance overall

It’s doubled sided tape or liquid glue to avoid water from entering the device. The screen panels has some type of silicon or some clear liquid that solidified under us light that’s why the screen held together even when they are broken

I dont think the screen on the 7 will connect. SE and iphone 8 do have same screens

To remove the broken screen you have to heat up the device. You can pull it out strongly but risk to damage something is high at that moment. You can use a hairdryer instead of a heatgun it’s just a bit slower but does work too

About 2 to 3 minutes going around the device (heatgun low power mode) My heatgun is high/low/OFF on high if I stay more than 3 s on a spot it might get burned. What are you going to use?

Maybe at the time I did this and also the device being an SE Apple didn't update the IOS software to trigger the message. Today I don't know if they have done this or not. Either way it is just a message it doesn't affect functionality

You will need 3 tools to remove screws then a suction cup and or guitar picks to remove the screen. That's all I used!

Reallllly ? It's not hard it's just intimidating. This is one of the simplest and most cost effective since they used the screen design of the iPhone 8 and almost same internal design. You should give it a try 😄

I don’t know why I read this as 15 mins to fix the screen. 🤓 I’m not sure peeling layers of glue and putting it back the same way is in my skill set. I can barely put things back in Amazon packages.

The SE 2020 has basically the same screen as the iphone 8 !!! Iphone 8 came out when ? September 22, 2017 Its 5 years old technology. Chinese have made these screens cheapers to a point it's sometimes unbeilivable. I bought this screen from ebay with taxes around $15
