The iPhone SE is the most affordable iPhone in the current lineup -- but does that mean it can't be a viable everyday camera? In this camera test, I'm taking it out for a typical day that includes sightseeing, eating, and capturing memories -- the kind of situations that a requires an effective camera. Let's see if the iPhone SE camera gets the job done.

Like for the transition at 03:40. Subscribe for Isa's reaction at 04:32! I think the iPhone SE will be more than enough for casual users who aren't looking to make 4K KZfaq content. Even for social media, it does a pretty dang good job and should prove to be a good camera to have in one's pocket when the memories need to be captured. What do you think?

The main worry of this phone to me is the battery life.. otherwise its not a bad phone for a casual user.. lovely video as usual.. been following you for years! Since Android Authority days.. keep up the fantastic work! Love to the Filipino people! I miss being with some as I got to know a few in Kuwait. Beautiful family orientated people.. one love..

2 things I wish this device should have. 1, a night mode cuz even a budget device now a days have that mode. And 2, atleast a 5 hours of screen-on time. The A15 is too much powerful too missed even just this two things.

It’ll get 6-7 hours of screen on time according to most of what I’ve seen actually! Pretty impressive for that relatively small 2018mAh battery.

I get constant 7-8h screen time using my phone quite intensively with 100% battery life of course. So I expect to last at least 6h screen time down the road (~90% battery life)

Lack of night mode and bigger battery on se3 is a bummer. 5g and a15 bionic will not be a selling point since not all camera features are available even with a15. I would prefer 13 mini along with magsafe battery pack or even 3rd party battery pack would make a 2 day battery life or heavy user with almost all day battery

Credit to apple for offering a phone that can record video that is level if not better than phones that are 2-3 times more expensive but its a shame they decided not to include night mode. I know for many they don't actually take pictures in dark/dim situations but still.

I sometimes wonder if Apple is thinking that the new 16 core neural engine can handle low light photos because they do add HDR4, Deep Fusion and Photo.Styles which are iPhone 13 software features (that no one really mentions), while most people do point out that there is no "night mode" even though they may only rarely do night photos. So why add the new software but leave off "dark mode" ?

Would you recommend this phone for a light user like myself who is thinking of buying a first iPhone instead of a 13 mini? The 13 mini seems overkill, too powerful and expensive ($949 Canadian for the 128GB model) for my needs but the form factor is so enticing.

As someone who has never owned an IPhone, I'd probably opt for the IPhone 12 or even the 11 over it. I'm just not a fan of that style though, so I'm probably not the best judge.

If you don’t use Face ID and prefer Touch ID then yes. Side Note: I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max 64gb and I’m getting the SE3 256gb for the reason stated above.
