I think you forget a few things on the S8 and S8+ - Fast charging adapter included - Micro USB to USB C adapter included - 3,5 mm jack and AKG earphones included - Compatible with Samsung Dex to use your phone as a desktop - Fingerprint sensor is still available - Dual sim also available It's not the biggest things... but still 😊😉 I also think that the Galaxy Note8 is the real competitor of the iPhone X. The Note 8 is Samsungs top device, just like the iPhone X from Apple.

I bought the s8 for 500$ today. I don't want to pay 1000$ for a phone. I also bought the iPhone 5s 4 years ago and it's still running extremely smoothly (apple iPhones are a good investment), but apple is this year to expensive and overpriced, so I decided for the s8.

S8= headphone jack, has a button decent price and uses OLED and owns OLED X= no headphone jack, no button, expensive and bought the OLED screens from samsung Team Samsung

See, the thing is, I just have a phone as a phone, occasionally a camera, music player, calendar, you know, but truthfully, it doesn't have to be that good. If I break or lose my old Z10, I'm out like $60 - an inconvenience, not a disaster. That peace of mind is worth more to me than having the newest, best phone.

Stupid argument that iphone x can handle 4k with 60 fps on a 64 gb storage. So no point for buying a 1000 dollar emoji machine where you storage is full before you know.

Bezel-less design? Not exactly. That iphone bezel is about as thick as the 3GS bezel from 2008. I'm not sure if we can call anything truely bezel-less at this stage in phone engineering. In terms of screen realestate, it's an illusion that iphone has less bezel over the s8. The thick bezel all around the iphone display and the notch actually give it more bezel than the s8 on a mathematical level. For anybody butthurt about this fact, this is undisputed - those screen to body ratio specs are everywhere now, with the S8 screen to body ratio of 84%, which beats the iphone X by 2%.

You mentioned the I X having facial recognition but not the S8. The SB does have this feature. How do those features compare? I use it regularly with the finger print scan for quick access. For me personally, the S8 rules, but the speaker is the worst I have ever had on a phone. They have to do something with that. The custom sound setting are great for headsets.

I've been a long-time iPhone user and I hadn't planned on upgrading even though I'd had the 6s for nearly two years. After speaking with some people who have the S8 and then test driving it I ended up upgrading to it. There was a learning curve to it but I'm really happy with it. The screen is so crispy. The only thing I wish I could do is watch my iTunes movies on it but it's a small matter since I have Amazon Prime and Netflix. I would have considered upgrading to the iPhone X but the price was so prohibitive. The expandable memory is also really nice.

You know what else has a "TrueTone" display? The S8 and Note8. It's called Adaptive Display. Should've done your research...

S8+ or Note over the Apple x unless the Apple x cost was 750.00 and had more storage and lost the notch then I might consider putting it in a similar playing field.

I've just moved over from an iPhone to Samsung s8. Mainly because of price and storage in iPhone. I've been using an iPhone since the iPhone 4 so this will be a big change for me!

No more permission from the manufacturer Apple. That's my biggest surprise. All the years I took it for granted with Apple. I'm happy that I switched brands.

Great vídeo! Though S8+ does have facial recognition, not as advanced as iPhone X's but still works pretty well to me. And people are complaining about the absence of Touch ID on the iPhone X, but I'll say I rarely use the finger print scanner on my S8+. 98% of the time Face Recognition works really well. When it doesn't, the PIN will do. So that has come to stay really.

Iphone only wins with processor, but that power is absolutely useless no one will render 4k videos on the phone, all other staff iphone is way behind, it took them 10 years to put OLED screen, wireless charging is just made to iphone and still no expendable storage and IOS restrictions are crazy. and did I mention that redicilous price tag

A little check.. You should have mentioned, that S8 when on manual max brightness produces 620 nits of brightness. Only when on Automatic brightness it can go up to 1000 nits but only in extremely bright areas and for short periods of time, as the Oled displays with extremely high brightness suffer from burn in effect.

Great video of 2 epic smartphones. Both are great buys. I currently have a s8 and love it. Buying either of these atm is something I'd most definitely do as there's always something new around the corner but it's not tried and tested and prices are unknown so if you want or need a new smartphone them there's no time like the present. With choices like these you can't go wrong. Just shop around before you buy as prices vary considerably.

Love how this guy forgot to mention the S8 Facial recognition to unlock, or that it's touch interface is similar if not better Touch software than "3d touch" (which came first on Samsung) and that you don't need better speakers when you have a kick a$$ headphone jack or that 'More Bezel-less Design" actually mean a stupid notch. But it is nice you can record on 4k60p on a junkier camera....Fanboy's are annoying. Can't admit they paying for a name brand. As a former iphone user I switched at S5, and I am not looking back....this phone is a 1000$ worth of junk. Apple is trying to play catch-up.
