As a repairer I recommend this simple fix that works on most occasions when you have an iphone x xs xr black screen problem. This fix works on all models of iPhones.
⛔ Now for those who have a dead iPhone where there is no signs of life or noise, please see the video I made here: • iPhone X wont turn on ...
The common issues seen with this are:
- has a black screen and makes noise
- has a black screen and vibrates
- has a black screen and rings
- has a black screen and makes noise when plugged in to charger

Boy oh boy, is there a lot of misinfo on the hard resetting for the XR on the net. Your process in this video is the CORRECT method for doing it on the XR - many resources don’t have this right. Thanks for the video, huge help in the end!

I woke up, just checking my phone and it wasn’t turning on. So I basically had a panic attack and was crying, because I dropped it in water and then I charged it so I thought I fried the wires or something. I went to bed and hoped it would work in the morning...it didn’t. I quickly looked up a video in the morning for my black screen and this one worked perfectly so I thank you!!

Thanks, my iPhone X didn't show the apple logo for about 3-5 more seconds than you but it did work eventually and it helped me. I found out that the problem was caused because the phone decided to auto-update itself and something happened whilst that that caused the phone to be unresponsive and have a black screen. Again thanks this video was helpful.

I am ACTUALLY CRYING!!! THANK YOU! My phone had the spinning loading wheel for over an hour and anytime I would hold one the buttons, it was sound off an alarm. After watching this, it was up and running before the video ended!!

This video helped me to restart my iphone xr. same behaviour - it rings when a call comes when connected to the computer - it's recognized. But whatever we do screen won't turn on. After doing these steps here it came back, Thanks.
