For the 17th season, the BCCI has set aside INR 46.5 crore in prize money.
A monetary prize of Rs. 15 lakh is awarded for the Orange Cap, which goes to the batsman who scores the most runs, and an equal amount is awarded for the Purple Cap, which goes to the bowler who takes the most wickets.
Virat Kohli, with 741 runs in 14 matches, will win the Orange Cap. He will have INR 15 lakh more in wealth. With 24 wickets, Harshal Patel of the Punjab Kings will retain the Purple Cap.
