Good to see these old machines still being used in some capacity these days his day and age...classic simple design dating back a good 60 years or so

The old ones,had green tubing and green medicine cup. You had to haul o2 tanks up the hallways,so you could give breathing treatments. Bennet machines,were popular,too

I remember the tubing had to be cleaned by hand,with strong disinfectant. They did not use disposable,back in the day

I have one of these. Unfortunately, the plastic section on the right (as you look at the pressure meter) is cracked. Do you know where I might be able to get a new or used spare part?

Sorry Ian. I do not know about the parts. We only have a couple in our lab for students.

Hi: Could you tell me who is the manufacturer of this equipment?

I do not believe the Bird Mark series is in production anymore. The old T-bird ventilator looks a lot like the Carefusion Vela which looks like it is now the ESpirit. Essentially this is old equipment that worked great for what it was and some hospitals still have them around. The circuits can be bought from any equipment supply company.

Hello what is the name of the hose
@resptherapyedresources1997
@resptherapyedresources1997 3 жыл бұрын
I am not sure of which hose you speak. There is a high pressure hose for the O2 from the wall to the machine. You then have the large bore corrugated hose for the circuit. The small hose that was used, is a pressure line. It helps to determine pressure to trigger the breaths (spontaneous breathing) and the pressure of the circuit during the breath.

@@rzahavvacam5673 I am sorry to hear about your father. The big hose coming from the machine to the exhalation valve is standard large bore tubing. That is what we call it in America. The other small hose is just a small host that will fit onto the adapters. As long as you have the exhalation valve and in an emergency situation, you could pretty much use other hoses that I stated above as replacements. This is only friendly advise and is in no way meant to be medical advise. This channel was used and set up to help my students. If the circuit is not working right, make sure the exhalation valve is seated correctly and there are not any holes in the diaphragm. If either of these items have occurred, the machine will not work.

I counted 10 times you utilized the term, "Utilize". This repetitious overutilization of term utilize de-emphasizes the subject matter, & poses as a distraction - as Ive demonstrated here. Nice freshman attempt though Sir.
