Took a small pile of IR lasers from different makers, and filmed shooting them at 100, 650, and 1350 m. Photographed with a Nikon D500 with a (Gen 3 tube) Lynred USA Astroscope relay lens and a Tamron 16-300 (at 300).

Some good stuff observed, like the wide difference in power on target for class 1 between makes and models. One unit didn't even get to 650 m at all.
Ideally I'd do this again with much more prep and gear. At distance, the lasers wobble rather a lot, so having them all stable, and pointing the same place would be nice.
Also could be cool to have multiple targets, like people, vehicles. Some time maybe I will redo.
