IR (R) Flight Video | Part 10

10 жыл бұрынWelcome to part 10 of my Vlog series! This time I have videoed my first ever ILS approach! I went with my instructor over to Blackpool, and we did a couple of ILS approaches before returning to Barton. I have since done this again, as well as some limited panel recap, and my instructor has said that I'm more or less ready for my test - I just need to build my hours now!
I've decided to document my experiences, as a pilot who has until now flown almost entirely VFR, and share how I am finding the training process to gain an IR(R). I hope this will be a helpful series and will help existing VFR pilots who might be considering the IR(R) to assess whether they want to start the course and how they might find it.

Nice video thanks for uploading. It’ll make a useful feedback and flight review tool for you to review post flight. Just a small point, I noticed your (very good) instructor mentioning “Decision Height”. Flying IFR it will always be a “Decision Altitude” in reference to airfield QNH. A rare exception is flying in Russia under the QFE metric system. Safe and happy flying to you both!
