Watching this at the moment Jimmer already is an IRL multiclass race winner and Praga cup championship leader. Its crazy how far he has come yet he stays so humble and down to earth✅✅✅

To be fair, multiclass at Bathurst is a great idea (ie the 12 Hour and 6 Hour). However, GT3 HAS to be the top class. Anything more than that it then I agree, it's stupid

No, thought about it. Talk demolition derby racing. You had to make it a 12 hour event because with multi class racing, it will take time for 20-30 cars at different speeds to bounce on one another without wrecking.

Bathurst was DESIGNED for multi-class racing. Have you seen the footage from races in the 70s and early 80s? It's amazing to watch, the more powerful cars just lapping the slower cars hundreds of times.

Bathurst can be a disastrous for single class racing, just take a look at any of the Bathurst 1000's in the 2010's or Porsche Cup Series that they also run. One mistake = wall.

I never understood that. The general rule is to hold your line but apparently it's also fine to weave in front of faster cars? Can't have it both ways.

@@Jimmy_Broadbent It's a difficult topic for sure. This waving method came up in the forums when multi-class racing was introduced back then because many slower class drivers got divebombed and wrecked. I don't know what's todays "sporting code" says but back then it was accepted. The funny thing is, I just looked up the reglement of the VLN series and there is nothing stated about holding the line for the slower class drivers. Never thought that being ahead of someone on corner exit was considered a dive bomb. Definitely an optimistic/rude move on my behalf but that's multiclass racing. I also said that I should have waited, but you've not mentioned that for some reason.

I am the subject mather, like jimmy said he should have taken the inside as that was a place i would not end up at for sure. I did not see him coming as you can see the white ferrari over took me a corner earlier and i was busy with that. and the LMP1's just appear and i did not see him untill it was too late. and i am sorry!

@@neilpirelli9240 Saying a guy with >4k iRating a bad driver? Having over 4k iRating means he is between top 5 to 1 % best ranked drivers of all road drivers and in the best 5 to 10 % of road drivers who have done at least 100 races. In arguably the most competitive racing sim. In other words, roughly better than >90 % of those who have done over 100 circuit races in iRacing. That, while not being alien fast (but still very fast) driver driving mostly Audi R18, which have been inferior to Porsche most of the time suggesting Jimmer's success is more based on consistency and cleanliness than raw speed. Might want to reconsider your view about how good Jimmy is actually.
