Not one person in that embassy could have had anything to do with the 1953 coup - it had happened 26 years earlier! The students should have taken it up with Eisenhower administration and the CIA - they had no right to take over the embassy. That was an act of war and should have been treated as such! Say what you will about the USA's support of the Shah, but the people at the embassy were just innocent bystanders. I hope the USA never opens another embassy in Iran, ever!
