During the 1979 Iranian Revolution this song became famous and is still used today in Iran from time to time, There is perhaps a few translation errors but besides that i think the translation is (mostly) correct.

Although I hate to admit it, this song is beautiful even if you don't know the meaning behind it. But what makes it scary and sad is that all the messages and claims of this song are 100% contrary to what is happening in Iran now. This video was not a dedication to the theocracy of the Islamic Republic nor a denouncement of it, Nor do i wish to praise MEK or the Monarchists, This video was intended for education only. In my personal opinion of the matter Iran should remain a sovereign state, one that does not bow to U.S imperialists nor any other Country for that matter, however this statement is not = to me wanting Iran to be continued to be ruled under a so called ""Islamic Republic"" I believe theocracy to be stupid, The willful ignorant monarchists are also cringe as they willfully ignore and walk around the reasons for the Iranian revolution the first place as well as pretend that the Shas Regime was somehow this grand utopia when in fact it was a suppressive total monarchy that suppressed all political dissident and persecuted Muslims, In turn angering them and pushing millions into Theocracy's hands, Not to mention the bare fact that Iran under this regime exported so much cheap gas to the United States that the people lived off rationed out gasoline, As well as the massive amounts of poverty that gripped the Country. And M.E.K is. . . Well a cult, No one likes them. As far as i am concerned you are all cringe and all of you are unworthy to rule over Iran, It just so happens that the current Islamic Republic is the best bad option, as at least they lead a actual independent Country at least.The only actual good option i see is the National Front of Iran that has advocated for Democracy while refusing to collaborate with the globalist west. I suggest that you have a conversation with your friends, if you have actually managed to conjure up those kinds of non ideological relationships. And by doing this you may obtain answers that will actually help you. Forget about Iranian opposition and supporting the regime because you hate colonialism and so forth, you know that these are not your issues. You feel small, you hate feeling disregarded, and yes power structures are hated all over the world e.g. America, rich vs poor, the patriarch, the bully so on and so forth. You see in someone with a moral compass, who has actually experienced the world beyond their ideological radar - the answer to a question such as yours is really obvious, and if it’s not, then maybe the problem is with you.
