I'm only 30 and when I was in high school the agriculture teacher taught a hunter's safety course. So it wasn't taken out that long ago. Look, the reality is its a globalist agenda to disarm Americans. They don't want another 1776. They want 1984. Look at this fact for a second. When Obama got in office he passed the Patriot Act II, a second part of Bush' bill to basically undermine the US Constitution. When Obama's bill got passed, the NSA finally had the authority to spy on every US citizen via internet connection. What became popular in 2008, during Obama's first year? Smart phones. Now almost every US citizen has bought into using them. What does the NSA want with your info? They sell your info for one. And two, they're gathering information to blackmail you when it comes time to for them to force something onto you, like maybe a vaccination that can give you ass cancer for example. Maybe the mark of the beast. Who knows. The reality is they have all your D pics and know what you had for breakfast. If you ever worked for them, you'd understand how deep this goes. Google Edward Snowden.

The government has been doing what they should not be doing do to we the people for a long time. Think of the National Firearms Act of 1934, the Gun Control Act of 1968 and the Red Flag Laws from Trump: "Take the guns first, due process later." Most states require a pistol permit or a concealed carry license. So basically we need government permission to exercise a constitutional right.

My dad was involved in a situation at local redemption center because the owner didn’t want to return his cans since he didn’t purchase them there. Owner was extremely rude and got in his face and started poking my dad in the chest. -he has a very short fuse and expected him to wipe the floor with him. He picked up the cans and and walked out. I asked if he was feeling ok since he didn’t bundle the store owner. He said I started reaching for him and remembered I had my gun on me. Enough said. If a large majority of people went around armed we would all become more polite. And we would tend to avoid physical confrontations. We must protect our 2A rights at the voting booth by voting for the most conservative candidates. Be careful joe Biden who wants to take away a large numbers of our simi automatic rifles, but he will claim he supports the 2A. He believes some people have the right to keep some arms, the right to carry arms at the discretion of the government. Which we all know is a horrible deliberate misunderstanding of what 2A means. Due to the last words, words that other amendments do not have, “shall not be infringed.” A demand and not a suggestion. In this country there is an ongoing war to limit the 2A and even to abolish it. The 2A is today in danger because a majority of Americans voted for Joe Biden and other Democrats. Of course I recognize there are Rhinos out there who are not conservatives and will not vote to protect the 2A. So be a conservative and not necessarily a Republican especially in the primaries. God bless you guys and all patriots.

“Parents teach good kids” True words. Just a few decades ago, high school Kids would drive to school with gun racks full of guns and leave them unlocked in the school parking lot…..and nothing bad happened. Additionally this also occurred in a time when there were fewer gun regulations which meant they were also easier to obtain. During these times mass shootings were not something that happened regularly. So why are these events happening a such an increased rate nowadays? That’s the real question. Guns aren’t the problem. Lack of good parenting is the root of many of our problems today.
@blessedjuggernaut
@blessedjuggernaut 2 жыл бұрын
Lack of parenting is one thing. An overall dishonest and corrupt society is another. Back in the day if someone ran their mouth to you, a kick to the teeth usually put them in their place and they learned from that. Today, people do all sorts of things to others all while being protected by the system. Again, a good old ass whooping used to do the trick. Nowadays you can't do that without it ruining your reputation and ultimately your life.

I was raised in a home where guns were not feared, but were definitely not something sought to be owned for self defense. As a home-owner in my 40's with a family to protect, I did a solid 6 months of research and study before choosing a firearm for home/self protection. There is a great deal to be said for educating youth on understanding and respecting firearms' place in our society. Your channel, as well as the other top-tier gun-tubers have helped guide me on my quest for knowledge. Most gun owners are better versed in local and federal laws than the average non gun owner. Becoming a new gun owner the first thing you will realize is how much more knowledge you will acquire in order to become an owner of a firearm. And finally, I’ve found that the gun owning community is probably amongst the most diverse group of knowledgeable people you will encounter.

I grew up in the late 50’s and 60’s. Graduated High School in the 70’s. None of the kids my age ever mentioned self defense as a reason to own a gun. We wanted them because our Father’s fought in WW2. We got toy guns for Christmas, BB guns for 12th birthday. Shotguns or a .22 when we got a Drivers License. Some of the lucky kids got them a year or 2 earlier. Owning a firearm was a Coming of Age Right of Passage. That being said, today I worry about Civil Unrest from both sides of the Aisle

Ive been using guns my entire life so im very comfortable around them, but when I took my CHL class years ago, there was probably 50 or 60 people in the class and only 2 or 3 other people besides me and the instructor had ever held or shot a pistol, let alone any firearm in general. In OR you arent required to show you understand the laws, show you know the parts of the firearm or even that you know how to operate it which I felt was very dangerous. I got jumped by a group of 8 college kids it was 12:30 at night this past Thursday I was dropping them back off at home from bars. If I wouldn't have been carrying and the fact there was 2 females out of the group of 10 that were helping me try to deescalate the situation I don't think I would've came out of it. Was like a movie being played in slow motion. I couldn't get to my phone it was in the car they were blocking me from getting back to which had a couple of their friends wasted passed out in the back, so driving off wasn't an option. I don't think I would've been prepared or known what to do before I started training. It was also a hard reality that not everyone is afraid when a firearm comes out when they are inebriated, luckily being protected thinned the herd from 8 to 3 but those 3 we're still determined to get to me kept trying to circle and box me in but I kept corralling them in the yard trying to angle my way to my car to grab phone, but still couldn't take off because there were 2 of their friends passed out in my car. It was an absolute nightmare I kept begging them to please go inside the house and let me leave I don't want to hurt anyone but I have a 7yo I have to live for. Watching this happen in a video is one thing but being put in a real live test was shocking to say the least, really hit me hard next couple days.

I'm a "left leaning" individual and a new gun owner, and was so happy to hear you guys defend and humanize responsible gun ownership, and point out that gun ownership doesn't have to be a political issue. These days, everything is political, and opposing sides are doing everything they can to make their perceived opponents appear morally inferior to one another. In dealing with anti-gun individuals in my own personal experiences, I have a funny feeling that many of the individuals who demonize gun owners are opposed to them because they lack this internal concept of "self reliance" that you stressed so much as being part of a gun owners character. Without this, these individuals have to find some way to make their own life choices seem preferable or superior to that of gun owners. An individual I respect very much, Jordan Peterson, once quoted in his lectures the phrase "A rabbit isn't virtuous because it cant hurt anyone - its just helpless." Self reliance is a virtue, and hopefully these trends point to a citizenry that doesn't feel beholden to the stereotypes that society has pressured them to fall into.

I saw an old guy downtown Portland being pulled from his car and he was nearly beaten to death. The government had a litany of excuses for non-performance as they always do. In the end democrats are just f*cking lazy. I had the realization at the moment if someone was going to save me from something like what the old man encountered that day it was going to be me. I am not saying I had skill or anything and at any possibility my outcome might result differently and I might be killed during the encounter but those who did attack would not be walking away happy.

I think one of the best things about the gun owner mentality is the camaraderie it breeds. Gun ownership is a major thing to have in common. You can walk into a gun show or gun store and strike up a conversation with just about anyone because you’re all likeminded and there for similar purpose. I once had a completely spontaneous conversation about steel cases vs brass cased ammo and what firearms are best for bugging out with a guy by the ammo locker in a Walmart. Didn’t know the guy from Adam but there was that camaraderie of being gun loving Patriots.

Absolutely gotta keep the momentum going. Not only in voting. But spreading the word of gun ownership as well. In the past few years I’ve been able to get 6 new gun owners by bringing them to the range and telling them about the truth of gun ownership.

Training is THE key element to responsible firearm ownership and for the correct, successful use of a firearm regardless if it's for target shooting, hunting or self defense.

My interest in firearms had nothing to do with self defense. It grew out my enjoyment of hanging out with my brother and spending a Saturday shooting soda cans with our .22s. Then it was target rifles and benchrest, squirrel and deer hunting, then pistols and military style weapons. I was always driven by the mechanics of the weapons and the ballistics involved. Way later in my years did concealed carry and self defense enter my mind and again it was through other disciplines like IDPA and three gun. I guess my point is my firearms interest grew more from social and intellectual roots than just looking at them as tools. It was always kind of intrigue more than necessity…….but I still love them just the same!

The Gent and his daughter were at one of the recent trials being held with regard to police shootings. Pretty sure it wasn't the Rittenhouse trial. It might have been, but any ways, the real thing that stood out to me, was the fact they had red chamber flags coming out of the ejection ports of their ARs. Now obviously it's not difficult to rack the charging handle and chamber a round, but it was the obvious display of SAFE, RESPONSIBLE gun owners in public that stood out to me. It was awesome.

I first shot .22 on a Boy Cubs field trip around age 7. I began shooting junior rifle at the local range. I had pellet guns until getting a firearm license at 18. My family has zero firearm experience so it's not something that I naturally grew up with. Never once killed anything more than a bee/fly with pellet or airsoft guns. I can't even hurt a damn mouse. Never once had a desire to hunt though I don't look down upon those who do. Now I'm 35 and operate a very rare Armed Security Agency (Canada). We don't carry to shoot someone, we do it so those around us and our guards don't find themselves in a "sitting duck" situation. Stay safe in 2022.

In 2020 we went through a 6vs1 armed robbery attempt at a Licenced Health Canada Marijuana facility. They came at night in full black bodysuits from a party store. Do you think I'd still be posting this had they known the guard was unarmed and untrained? Never seen 6 adults run away from anything so fast, dropping weapons behind to leap fences....

I believe it comes in stages, some of which can be skipped with proper mentor/parent-ing •tells everyone "if you need help call me" almost itching for the chance •Student of marksmanship, realize how common an ordinary it is •hearing about laws, continuing marksmanship starts to try to stock up and advocate •getting so practiced you can't do it wrong. You know all the laws and bills. People ask you to shoot their gun to see if their doing something wrong. Don't even think about your edc until something catches your senses.

I have taken non gun people to the range many many times when I lived in California. I simply put the invitation out there. Most of the time, some big event ie: the Pulse nightclub shooting, a home invasion in their neighborhood or crime in general would cause them to reach out to me. I always started slowly 22's then moved up to 9mm and up. Gun safety was always strictly enforced. Most people were shocked at how much fun it was and how hard it was to purchase a firearm. Quite a few came over to our side.

The media also talks about guns in a good light, they do movie reviews that have guns etc... Police have a tendency to view gun owners the same, when just out in public with "legal gun owners"... Keep up the good fight guys!!

My favorite projection is when "Anti-Gunner" project their insecurities, by usually, but never always, pointing out a Man's "manhood" issues. Like for 1, woman can own guns too, what insecurities could you attach to a a woman owning a gun, for the reason that it empowers her and gives her control of her life, to protect her loved ones, her children, and herself by insulting that the only reason a "person would ever wanna own a gun" is that they have "manhood" issues. For 2, I think it's quite humbling that a Man (or anyone) understands their "lack of" and again, what is the excuse when a Woman owns a gun? She's 5 ft 3 inches, weights 140 pounds, and you would insult her for owning a gun to "equalize the playing field" against would be aggressors? Imagine calling a 40+ year old man a "weakling" when hes just 25 years away from retirement and you could tell that man, that him, understanding that he's not the same age as he was 30, that him owning a gun is because, "Oh you're just insecure about your lack of manhood". again, I do believe its all projections, because "anti-gunners" would take self-defence classes for "recreation" or exercise, but are too Moralistic to ever own a "weapon of mass destruction" because, "I think killing is bad, and all gun owners just want an excuse to kill people, because Stand Your Ground Laws Hurr Durr." If anything, they are lacking, because they are insecure.

Im a 6'2 big guy who always wears jeans and cowboy boots. I carry a gun and most people immediatly judge me as some nut who thinks its the wild west and im looking for trouble and to intimidate people. In reality im one of the most friendly, welcoming, and warm people you will ever meet. Im a Kentuckian with southern charm and hospitality 😉. But kids often smile at me and ask me about my gun and the parents quickly rush them away from me as if im some villian. I try not to let it bother me but sometimes it hurts a little. On the flip side its often old grannies who say to me " im glad you wear your gun here honey, i feel so safe with you in the room". That makes it worth it And yes i open carry. I believe in detourance. If my presence repels ONE bad guy from hurting someone in my lifetime then ive did my duty.

A good explanation like you said because you're a gun owner you're always looking for trouble where I work one time there's these group of girls in and then I had it there was another client in as well and he had had his a backup concealed carry around his ankle and they had noticed it when he had like rolled his pant leg up because he was getting tattooed on that leg and he rolled his pant leg up to show where it was going and he had walked out into the lobby and then that's when the girls had seen it and we're all up in arms and all kinds of crazy about it and these group of girls literally lost their shit like about to call the police because this man had a firearm around his ankle and he was fixing to shoot the whole building up is how these girls were acting and it was just mind boggling to think that people actually genuinely think that way

I've sat and thought how many different ways I could use to cause mass causality events without a firearm. The number of ways is staggering even if you limit the methods to readily available uncontrolled methods. I won't list any of them just in case it gives some nut case ideas but there's so many better ways to do it and many can be done long after you set it up so you aren't even around to get caught. It isn't the gun that's the problem, it's the person behind it that can use it for good or evil. Most of us understand that but if I can sit and think of untold number of ways to take out as many people as possible then so can a bad person who would actually do it even if all guns are melted down, in fact it would make it easier for them in most cases.
