I have a ML350 2006 Mercedes that I bought used like maybe I just moved from Sacramento to Nevada and once coming up the last Hill on overpass it acted like the transmission was going to give out so I thought I was going but it didn't and then it kind of like fix back and then it started doing it again so I just did your steps thank you so much man I'm broke I'm homeless enough I'm just blessed to have this car and I appreciate you if maybe later on down the line you could maybe upload that video about the transmission fluid and all that because the Mercedes act like you got to do everything at the dealership and it's $200 to walk in the door so I just thought I was out of a car thank you God bless you and trust and Believe when I'm financially able I will be making a donation

Did you have to clear the fault after a battery charge, or did the fault clear itself? If it cleared itself, approx how much driving time was required?

Appreciate ur video. Yep the srs sensor is way too common in these doggone cars! My issue is that. No accidents and the same day it came on the passenger seatbelt stopped fastening. However, It did happen 1 day after picking it up from getting work done. Of course they are clueless as to why it's on. Never saw this light nor seatbelt issues before. So frustrating because there is absolutely a charge.

Hi Keith. I'm a new subscriber and new MB owner. We have been enduring a brain and back aching endeavor trying to locate the audio gateway in our 2009 R320 bluetec. We have removed the driver seat and second row seat as well as the head unit and the aux hub in the glove box, tore into the trunk...nothing! We have also done a deep dive into the web to find the location, but everyone looking for the R320 gateway this is just as befuddled as us. It seems to be a real mystery. Thank You

Mine was triggered, and soon after Mercedes issued a recall for my 2011 C300 for a faulty air bag. The primer formed the repair , but said they couldn’t clear the SRS light🙃I will try you video solution and get back with you. Thank you.

i brought my CLS 550 in to have it worked on. Oxygen sensor Problems would not clear, and I had the ESP ,ABS inoperative. They replaced the ECU, and then had to replace the ABS pump. Now they say the only light on is the SRS. I don't believe it was on when I brought it to them.

Hello I have a 1987 300d turbo diesel and my s.r.s light is on. Once in a while it will go out. My car is too old to have the obd2 plug. Any ideas on where to look. Also I have 2 people telling me I should delete the intake air controle. Saying it will run better. Why would someone delete this box. I have kept everything original except modern cd player and e.g.r block off. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and video. Robert

Why would the SRS malfunction cause the car to not start? Everywhere I look it's all about how to set so you're not driving around with it on but it literally stranded me at work and wouldn't start. After catching a ride home and driving back in my backup car it magically went away and started fine. This better be a one time quirk cuz shame on mbz for letting a sensor strand you.

@@yahawahsspeckledbird9574 that's strange too cuz mine was completely dry. Drove it to work then 4hrs later at lunch time it wouldn't start. Brief trip home and back and voila it started again. A glitch in the matrix for sure.

Same for me 2010 c300. To get it to start I go in and out of the on position. As if leaving it in the on position let's power run thru it seems in my weird way idk if it makes sense. If this malfunction causes the car to not start, then let's not start the car if seatbelts are not on while we're at it

Thanks so much for the info. I am going to do a diagnostic test this evening and see if the light comes back. I did have an electrical issue with the tracking system fitted to the car and the battery was disconnected for a couple weeks. I also had the front SAM out of the car for repairs, and in the past I have has passenger seat occupancy issues. Any other Ideas?

Hello sir, thank you for the content. I scanned my E55 and got a code for an open circuit on the passenger seat belt buckle. I replaced that seat belt buckle, and cleared the SRS fault memory. The light on the dash came off for 5 seconds and then re-appeared. I read the new code and now I'm getting "9382 N2/7 (Restraint systems control module): coding is faulty. What next steps should I take? My car was not in an accident or anything, just old. Thanks in advance!

You will have to turn it off with a scanner that can handle this. iCarsoft can handle this.

i have a 2013 C300 went to get an oil change, car wouldnt start when i was leaving the shop they jumped it. wouldnt start again this morning and i saw the srs alert. what might the problem be and will i have to take it to the dealership or can the shop fix it since it may have been an issue they caused?

Rachel McNally i took it to the dealership and they said apparently i had some water damage? it was 1900 just for them to see what the problem was not even the repair so i havent had it fixed and it’s been running fine since. engine light still on though

Hi Kieth I have the same car a 2008 Mercedes ml350. My cruise control is not working and I have esp abs rig test message on the dashboard. I was told it could be the brake sensor which is located just below the master cylinder on my particular vehicle. It’s in a very small compartment area and I can’t figure out how to reach it. I was wondering if I could remove the master cylinder to reach it. Do you have a video on that? If so what is the video title? I tried to scroll through but couldn’t find it. Also any thoughts on the matter would be appreciated. As always thanks for your channel. It has been such a huge help.

Hey Keith, I got a quick question for you. I have a 2011 E550 and I replaced my steering wheel for the 2015 E550 AMG steering wheel all the buttons functions look to be the same steering wheel is installed but the only problem is my my horn and my buttons are not working for some reason on the new steering wheel. Do you have any idea? What could I be? I’ve been reading on the forms and everyone says I have to switch some kind of board from the old steering wheel to the new steering wheel, any help advice would be greatly appreciated. I came to see the SRS light get fixed on a 2000 E430 4matic v8 4.3 - I replaced the control unit as that is what the diagnostic code said to replace - light is still on and needs to get reset - or as I hear, the new control unit needs to be "programmed" with the CPU... is that accurate? I don't want to take it to dealer so I would have to sell my left Nu..I mean Kidney to have it reset.

Good day. Wondering if you might provide some direction. When I purchased my Clk someone changed the front left sb pretensioner. It was replaced with a used one. SRS light is on. Vin codes don’t match. Mercedes says they can not fix this. They can not update the vin code. As it’s vin code locked and they cannot update my vehicle or the pretensioner to align hence getting the light to go off. Mercedes confirms the only reason the light is on is because of the non matching vin and I will need to buy a brand new pretensioner which is vin code blank. And then they can program it to match my vin code. Do you know this to be accurate?

Is clearing the SRS light similar to clearing the Check Engine light in that you have to drive the car for X number of miles to reset the computer? Can this cause the car to fail inspection?

@@keithsutton3446 I have seen people cutting or removing the airbag wire so that the system light comes off. Does that remove the airbag function? And if yes, do all the airbags go off?
